Kuzey Güney - North & South

Four years ago..

Kuzey's POV:
"Will that be all?" The cashier asks politely.
"Yeah, thanks."
"Looks like a cute gift. Is it for your girlfriend?" She asks as the credit card is being processed.
"Uhmm.. Not really my gf. I'm hoping to ask her out after this" I smile
"Oh! That's lovely. Hope it all goes well" she says as she hands over my gift for Cémre.

On my way, I see a lady sitting on the pavement with flower bouquets surrounding her. She sings out: "1 bouquet for $5! take one for your loved one if you please!"
I pick out the freshest ones and hand her over a $10 bill, exchanging smiles.
I continue walking towards the end of the street, taking a right and getting closer and closer to cémre's house. I give her call to see if she's home and she says she's preparing for her exam tomorrow morning. I ask her if she can talk for a few minutes and she says "sure, I'll be waiting."
I check to see why my cell's buzzing and see *mom* pop up. I groan but take the call since I don't want her to worry.
"Hello, gorgeous"
"Kuzey! Where are you?? Your dad's asking for you. You promised you'd help him clean up the bakery today! Come home right now!"
"Mom, I can't come right now, can you please ask dad to calm down and wait till I get back?"
"Kuzey, you know how your dad gets when you don't listen to him don't you?" She sighs
" yeah, yeah, we'll see when I get back."

As I continue walking down the street, I see a few kids playing around, singing, and giggling.
My face is starting to hurt due to all the smiling.
This is the day. The day when I finally set my feelings straight for Çemre. The day when I finally feel free...
As I get closer and closer to her house, My smile widens and my heart starts to beat faster as it gets closer.
I spot Çemre from a distance sitting on her front yard with her books and...
I stop. My heart falls to the ground. The smile immediately fades as I take in what's going on in front of me.
