Six days till the annual purge)

Rise and shine, it's almost purge time. Oh the purge, the one day of the year where I'm able to take my anger out on the people that hurt me the most. It may sound sick, and twisted but it's true. The purge is like Halloween, or even Christmas, to me.

For the past two years, the purge has been an annual thing for everyone. The new founding fathers of America have been voted into office, or the NFFA, they created the purge, and surprisingly it's doing a good job. It helps a lot, the crime rate has gone down to one percent, and we have a strong economy.

The last two purges, I've participated. Now everyone wants after me. Let's just say, I do a pretty damn good job. Based on the way I grew up, no ones gonna get to me. Anyways though, since the purge started I moved out of a apartment on the rough side of Detroit, and bought a pretty nice house.

I walked downstairs to my security room, and slid open the door where all the guns are kept. Okay, all seventeen are still in this closet. I slid the door back closed, and walked to my security cameras. My fingers slid across the keypads, wiping away the dust, then a person came up on my screen. Oh, it's just Tuba.

Walking out of the security room, I walked down the hall, and to the front door, opening it up for Tuba. I smiled as she brought herself in for a hug. After we pulled away from the hug, I opened the door for her, and she walked in, taking a seat on my couch.

"You purging this year, baegal?" Tuba asked, and used my childhood nickname.

"That's not even a question, of course I am" I chuckled, and dropped myself on the couch across from her.

"Who you getting this year?" Tuba said, and slightly chuckled while getting herself comfortable on the couch.

"Actually" I said, and hopped up from the couch walking to the kitchen. "I have a list this year" I said, and picked a piece of paper full of names that was sitting on the kitchen counter.

"No way" Tuba said, and shook her head.

"Yes way" I said, and walked back to her, handing her the list.

"John, Brianna- wait why John?" Tuba asked.

"You remember my son?" I asked her.

"Yeah" Tuba said while nodding her head yes.

"Because I decided not to go on a date with John, he killed Cole. Anyways fuck it, you going purging?" I asked.

"Probably not, but you know if anything happens to you I'll be out there in a heartbeat" Tuba said with a smile.

"Since your not going out on Saturday, wanna stay here on lockdown? I don't want anything happening to you" I said.

"I'll be okay, I'm staying with Alex" Tuba said with a reassuring smile.

"Which Alex?" I asked, and Tuba smiled bigger. "Your crush Alex?" I asked, and raised my eyebrow.

"Yup!" Tuba said.

"Please make sure his place is locked down, I really don't want anything happening to you" I said.

"Anything happening to me? Girl, your going out purging, you have a bigger risk! If I don't see you at seven am Sunday morning we're gonna have a problem" Tuba said, and pushed my shoulder back.

"I'll be fine, mom" I said sarcastically, and got up from the couch. "Yo, you want anything? Drink, eat?" I asked while walking into the kitchen.

"No thanks" Tuba said, and hopped up on the kitchen stool. "I actually came here to give you this, it was delivered to me, I don't know why" Tuba said, and handed me an envelope.

I took the envelop from her hands, and opened it up. Who can be sending me mail, I rarely get anything anyways.

Dear Jordan Mitchell,

Knowing that purge night is coming closer, and you're one of the bests, I'd like to talk to you about keeping a certain celebrity safe. You can do the same thing you'd do on a regular purge night, I just need my guy safe.

If you're interested, please call the number at the bottom as soon as possible. Thank you.

"Well, looks like you're really into that paper, and I have to meet up with Alex. So I'll see you later" Tuba said.

"See ya later" I said, and gave her a quick hug.

Tuba left out the front door, and I debated calling the number for a while. I can get into some trouble if I try to keep this "certain celebrity" safe, but then again I'll have someone with me to go out on Saturday. You know what, I'll do it. I picked up my phone, and dialed up the number that was at the bottom of the letter.

"Hi, this is Jordan Mitchell"
