"Just want some damn bread sticks."~Nicollet

"Oh damn."

We walked into to the restaurant. Romano's was the name. It was in the town over, in the very wealthy part of town. There was valet parking and everything. There were large, white marble columns at the entrance of the restaurant. The carpeting a deep, Ruby red. Round tables scattered the floor, covered in thick white table clothes. Each table set with candles despite the light coming from multiple chandlers hanging from the ceiling.

Kane tugged on my hand, pulling me behind him as he weaved through tables behind the hostess.

"Your table." The hostess swept her arm, gesturing to a table towards the back of the restaurant, the lighting was slightly dimmer back here. It looked so intimate. She set the menus down on the table. On the table was a bucket of ice, with a bottle of wine tucked among the ice cubes. "May I start you off with some complimentary red wine?"

Kane pulled out a chair for me, as he pushed me into the table I opened my mouth to tell her I was too young to drink but kane answered for me.

"We'd love some, thanks."

I looked at Kane with a raised eyebrow. He offered me a smile and a wink.

The women poured our wine and I must say I didn't like the looks she was sending Kane's way. You ain't that sneaky Missy. I can see you looking at him like a price of stake. Only I can do that.

Would it be improper to dump my newly poured wine on her head?

I glared at her, not that she was looking my way. I was hoping she could feel my stare glaring daggers into her head and get the point and leave. She didn't.

"Can I get you anything else?" She asked politely. Her eyes still on Kane. He didn't seem to notice the flirtatious stares she was sending him.

Before Kane could say anything I butted in. "Not yet thanks. You can go." My tone didn't come out as civil as I had hoped.

When she glanced my way I sent her the fakest smile I have ever make in my whole life. She seemed to wait, seeing if Kane was gonna say anything. You think he's gonna ask you to stay for dinner? Sorry honey, You're mistaken.

"Very well, a waiter will be right with you." She glanced one more time at Kane before slinking off.

"You want to explain that?" Kane asked me. He looked quite amused. Smug bastard probably knew she was looking at him.

"Okay two things." I held up two fingers. "One, she was looking at you like a starving lion looks at a baby gazelle. I don't like to share. Two," I held up my wine glass. "You know I'm not of legal age and if I am mistaken nor are you."

He reached across the table and took my hand. "Just relax. They don't really care if you are of age. It's a classy place. They expect everyone to drink wine."

"Fine, I guess if I absolutely have to drink it." I lifted my wine glass to my smirking lips. I actually wanted to drink it, I just didn't want to get Kane and I in trouble. "Now what's good here?"

He shrugged looking down at the menu. "I don't know. Never been here before."

"You've never been here?" I was slightly surprised. I kinda always pictured Kane camping to a swank restaurant with beautiful women. Why did I just think about that? I'm just making myself jealous. "Not even on a hot date?"

"Well, if you count this one, then yes."

"I would count it. I mean I have a pretty hot date."
