Everything seem to go in slow motion, like one of those overdramatic movies. He fought his way through the crowd, it wasn't hard for him. Most people moved out of his way.

My wolf was happily bouncing around inside me. She was over joyed that she had found her mate. I wasn't as joyed.

He was two feet from the stage when my brain decided to start working. So did my legs as I raced off the stage. Animalistic growl sounded right behind me and I had no doubt in my mind that he was only feet behind me.

My wolf was fighting me but there was no way in hell I was letting her take over. This is my choice and she's gonna have to deal with it.

I was out of the party room and down two hallways when I was flung into the wall. My head would have slammed into the wall but instead was caught by a warm hand.

My eyes connected with the same silver ones mine had connected with less then a minute ago. Both our chests were heaving but not from running. Okay maybe mine a little bit because I don't run a lot. His face was less then 3inches from mine. I could feel is warm breath fan across my face. Even I had to admit that being close to him felt great.

Only if I wasn't so stubborn and other things.

"Nicollet." Mm, was it just me or did my name sound so sexy in his voice.

Get a grip you weak fatty. Oh great now I'm talking to myself, more like insulting.

"Kane." I muttered his name. His eyes darkened in color.

"You run?"

I licked my lips. "You stupid?" My smirk grew as his eyes narrow.

"You're a challenge." I was about to open my mouth and say something but he beat me to it. "I love challenges."

"I hope you like blue balls, cause you ain't getting any." I raised my eyebrow at him. He only chuckled under his breath.

"Well see." He kissed my cheek. His lips lingered there for longer than they should've. I pushed on his chest.

"Oh we will."

Avoiding someone who lives with you is beyond hard. Avoiding someone who lives with you, is in the next room, has the power to do whatever the hell he wants cause he's an alpha, and is your mate is impossible.

I've been avoiding him for three days. It's probably the hardest thing ever. My wolf only wants to see him and he's every where I go.

I feel beyond bad because he's actually trying. He tried talking to me, I walked away. Every slight touch I went on defense.

It seemed to effect him too. He was very tense anything set him off. He went off on Liam yesterday for looking at him the wrong way. Thank goodness Liam understood and was a beta so he was stronger than most werewolves.

My headphones were on as I was sitting in my room. The door opened, at first I thought it would be Kane. It was the girls.

Amilee, Jasmine, Sammi and Kayliee piled into my room. I took the headphones off and smiled. "What's up?" I asked.

"We wanted to see how your doing. We haven't talked much since the party." Sammi answered.

They all sat on my bed. I tried reading their expressions to see where this was going but I couldn't tell.
