Soldiers surrounded the craft as it landed on Mica. Jalh took in a deep breath. He quickly walked from his chair and into the bathroom, changing his gear. The man who he had tied up struggled in the chair he had left him in. He thought back, he should have killed him. He held his Arc-9 pistol in his hand, military grade.
Jessica watched a tactical team charged into the plain. The doors wide open, men wearing gear over their torso and head, that she had no idea what they did. Their weapons were military grade, this wasn't the police. They used hand signs as a young man walked into the room, wearing a General's uniform.
"Jessica Feildline" The tall dark handsome young man called out.
The man had black hair, and blues eyes, the eyes as pale as Jalh's. He smiled, the same predator to prey smile that Jalh did, as he stretched for his hand. Jessica stood up as she walked towards the man, she recognized him; the man was General Lkor, Apollus Lkor. She took his hand as he gentle escorted her and her child off the space craft.
"What is this about?" Jessica asked.
"Well two things, one, you know most about the fugitive Jalh Horker who we have been tracking, and second, we think he'll come for you." He smiled.
"I'm being kidnaped by my own government?" Jessica's eyes widened.
"Unfortunately, yes, sadly it is not my decision. I would at least wish to compensate you, but those aren't my orders. You can come willingly or unwillingly. Both ways, your son will be safe, and your safety can only be guaranteed one way. Which will it be?" Apollus asked.
"I'll go with option one." She replied.
She looked at the space craft as she walked away. The men hand cuffed her as they slowly place her in an armored hummer jet. It was similar to an ancient helicopter that Jessica had seen in her history books. Her little boy was then snatched from her arms, as they whisked him away. She yelled at the men as Apollus looked with sorrowful eyes.
The man was a man of integrity. The emperor himself had sanctioned this order, he found no pleasure in abduction an adult woman to get at a murderer. It was distasteful, and shameful on the Empires part. He hated every moment of it.
"Give me back my child!" Jessica screeched.
"Mommy," The boy cried.
Jalh could hear their cries. He didn't want to admit the feelings he had, he had grown slightly attached to the boy, and woman. He hated himself for it. He had a soft spot for the two, and he didn't know why. Somethings just can't be explained, Jalh had learned this lesson early in life, and he hated it, because it made no sense. He gritted his teeth as he heard the footsteps in the plain.
The bathroom was perfect hiding spot; it was made of lead walls with a thin layer of glass and aluminum in between. The X-ray goggles couldn't see through it or their inferred. The reason the walls were made this way was for the reason of foolish kids, who would buy the cheap toys and spy on others. Jalh knew about this stuff from his training, something these lackeys probably didn't know.
Jalh gripped his dagger in one hand, and his knife in the other, as the door slid open. Quickly he made a lighting fast jab to the entering soldier's throat. The woman fell over; Jalh had hit her voice box, like he had planned. The only sound was the door sliding open. Jalh had caught the woman gently placing her against the wall inside. She looked at him helplessly, as he grabbed her gun, and checked her mag. The magazine was a core inserted on the side of the gun, reading full. He smiled seeing it full, he had figured it would be, but didn't want to test his luck. He knelt beside the woman, frisking her for a radio, or com of some sort. Jalh knew she had one, it was just a matter of where.
