I fell asleep, but I wasn't fully asleep. I heard someone open my room door and come in, closing it behind them. I heard footsteps creep towards me. The person covered me with a blanket and put a piece of paper in my hand. The person left the room and I could hear the pitter patter of feet running down the stairs. I woke myself up and quickly read the note.

Dear (E/C)
I'm a friend, but not in trend.
I like you, but cannot sight you.
I know you, you don't know me.
Meet me in a garden filled with green, I seat in a pile of dream.
Signed: an old Friend

I folded the note back up and got out of bed. Running to my closet I trip on a box, I turn to the box and open it. A flower crown? What do I need a flower crown  for?. I pick up the flower crown and set it on my vanity table. I walked to the closet and opened it, it had a cocktail sunflower dress with a pair of white gloves, it had a note that read. Something you might like, to take a hike. Why is he speaking in rhymes? I put on the dress and did my hair. I put it into a braid-bun, then I out the flower crown over it.

Walking down the stairs, I looked around the house. No one was home "Probably out somewhere" I got my shoes on and checked the time "5:37, I'll make it" I grab an apple and run out the door. Running to the only place I know, The Fountain. I look at all the notes to make sure I was in the right spot, looking from them I see Zane in a tuxedo and a blue bowtie "Z-Zane?!" Looking up from the note he was looking at out eyes locked. I walked closer to him "Oh uh hey! I um just followed some notes that were in my room" he lifted up the notes. I lifted up my notes "I followed the same ones" so is this meant to be?

In a blink of an eye I'm next to Zane. A mysterious woman appears from out of the dark "(E/C), Zane... I've been waiting" she throws a coin into the fountain "It's been quite some time, don't you think?" The woman takes off her red hood. Zane grabbed me and wrapped his arms around me, protecting me "Who are you?" Zane's voice became rough. The woman had black hair with a pair of gold eyes "Zane, its Marlo" I lifted his arms and walked over to Marlo "I've missed you. Where have you been?" Marlo looks down at the ground.

"Well you see, I've been out of town lately and-" she looks up at me (She's 11) "-I've been traveling across the land" Zane walks up behind me and pulls me away. "(E/C), who is this?" I look over to the smiling Marlo. "Remember? The girl in the window?" (Don't worry about trying to understand 'The Girl In The Window' its for later😉) he looked at Marlo. His eyes widened "Marlo..... Marlo!" Zane runs to Marlo and lifts her up and spins her around, lowering her down into a hug "I've missed you" he kisses the top of her head.

She pulls out of the hug and looks at us both, Zane puts his arm around my back and pulls me close to him "So... You two are dating?" we both nod. Her smile grew bigger "Ok, tell us why we're here" she nods and we sit on a bench next to the fountain.

"So you went across the land and found a place called 'Phoenix Drop' and there was a girl named Aphmau?" Zane still has a big smile on his smug face he looks so nice when he smiles. "Mmhmm, and a man named Aaron" her smile made me smile, we were all smiling, "Aaron was Aphmau's guard, and he had a crush on Aphmau and I helped him and now their together! What happened while I was gone?" Me and Zane looked at each other. I giggled a little "Ok but you might want some popcorn!" I started to talk.

Next thing I know Marlo's asleep "We should get her to my house" I whispered as we sat up. Zane picked the sleeping Marlo up, bridal style, and we start to walk down the road to my house. The city was quiet at night, all you could hear was the crickets and owls hooting. I loved O'kassis at night, you could see the stars and all the beady eyes of the animals that lurk in the dark. I enjoyed to see all these different animals, its exciting.

Finally we got to my house and went inside. My mother was in her room and the TV was on, you could only hear the TV (Yes they have TVs I just wanted to add them) and mom snoring. We walked upstairs and went into my room, putting Marlo on my bed. We both kissed her forehead, Zane pulled the blankets over her shoulders "It's like we have a kid Zane" I whispered as I looked at her peacefully sleeping. "Yeah.... I love you (E/C)" "I love you top Zane".

We walked back down the stairs and sat on the couch, I laid my head on Zane's chest, where his heart was. My eyes started to close, and I soon fell asleep. I felt Zane shuffling around, he wrapped his arms around me and cuddled me "I love you" Zane whispered in my ear and kissed the side of my head. A small smile formed on my face. My eyelids became heavy and I fell into a deep sleep.

I love you too Zane. I love you too.

Sorry I didn't post one yesterday. I was out of town all day and didn't have time to write and I didn't have internet. But this one is a long one! And if 'The Girl in The Window' REALLY bothers you. TOO BAD. Haha you thought I was gonna tell ya. But nope!
