Daenerys got out of her bath, letting her body quickly dry and put on a silk dress, specially made for this occasion. She sat down in front of a mirror, waiting for her servant to braid her silver hair.

-Doreha? ask the princess.

-Yes your majesty?

-Do you know how he is? Lord Loki? Daenerys carefully looked at her servant's reflection in the mirror and for a moment, she thought she saw a small smile on her lips.

-Well, I heard that he's a raven haired tall man. With blue, greenish eyes that could turn a fire into ice.

She paused for a moment before resuming.

-Another maid said she saw him once, and the thing that stroke her the most was his jawline.

Daenerys shook her head at that. Yes, if she could have the chance to have a good looking husband, she might be happy. But she prefered having a kind and gentle but ugly husband than an agressive and handsome one.

-I don't care about how he looks. Is he kind? Or cruel? I heard... rumors.

Doreha shrugged, almost done with the princess's braids.

-I don't know your majesty. People mostly talk about his brother, Thor.

-And Thor isn't married?

-He's betrothed to Lady Sansa Stark from Winterfell. But I heard that their wedding had been delayed.

Daenerys wanted to ask why, generally, weddings were rushed, making alliances as fast as possible. But when she opened her mouth to speak, Master Illyrio slamed the door open.

-My dear, the prince Loki and his family will be here anytime now.

Prince Loki? Isn't he just a lord?

-I'm ready.

Daenerys gracefully stood up and looked at her reflection in the mirror, blinking a few times to seem a little bit less tired than she really was. She walked through the long halls, crossed the throne room and finally got to the red keep's courtyard, where her brother Viserys was waiting for her. He threw her a carnivorous look before taking her hand in his.

-It's a big day for you little sister.

The princess didn't answer, just letting her gaze loose itself in the olive trees's leaf on her left, stomach clenched. Four horsemen -the guards certainly-  appeard in the courtyard, followed by three others. Two of them on white, robust horses with long, curly mane.  But the last one was on a thin black horse, it's horsehair perfectly cut.

A carriage appeared behind them and all of them aligned themselves in front of Daenerys. The first four horsemen didn't move as the three got down gracefully. Master Illyrio took a few steps forward to greet them.

-My lords, please be welcome in King's Landing. Allow me to introduce you to our king, Viserys of house Targaryen. And his sister, Daenerys.

An old man got closer to them, a courteous smile on his lips.

-Glad to finally meet you. Call me Odin.

He bowed in front of the princess's brother.

-And here are my two sons. Thor.

The man showed a young man, with golden hair and blue but still warm eyes. His stature seemed a little less impressive when an idiotic smile appeared on his face.

-And Loki.

This time, a tall, young raven haired man took a step forward. That's him thought Daenerys. He seemed cold and a hard frown brought his eyebrows together. As his emerald eyes avoided hers, his father slapped his arms, getting a weird reaction from the young lord. Instead of doing whatever his father expected him to do, he just stared right back at him, the coldness in his eyes making Daenerys shiver.

Odin shook his head and smiled again.

-And here's my wife Frigga, and Lady Sansa Stark, betrothed to my eldest, Thor.

-Lady Sansa and I already know each other. Viserys spoke for the first time since the guests arrived.

Daenerys couldn't help but notice the expression on Lady Sansa's face. Between her smile and her shining eyes was fear. But not fear of the king, there was someting else. She knew her too, but she seemed changed since the last time they saw each other, more confident maybe.

The princess jumped out of her thought to take a better look at Lady Frigga. The woman had long hair tied together in a bun elegantly executed and she wore a blue dress that could compete with her eyes.

-Come closer my dear.

Daenerys quickly realized that Illyrio was adressing to her. She did as told, getting closer to the group, only a few feet away from Loki. He was much taller than her, so she had to lift her head to look at him. She realized she couldn't take her eyes off of his, just as a simple glance from him hipnotized her. She didn't mean to be defiant or rude, she was mostly scared. The lord looked down at her, indifferent. When she stopped in front of him, he took her hand in his to drop a kiss on the back of it. His skin was cold against hers, and she felt a shiver run throught her spine.

-My Lady. He said soflty.

His voice may have been deep, it was still soft and Daenerys completely got flustered. He was the perfect exemple of the wolf disguised as a sheep.  She just nodded to greet him as a small smile appeared on his lips.

-You must be exhausted after such a long journey. Spoke master Illyrio. The maids will show you your quarters.

Loki carefully dropped Daenrys's hand, looking deeply in her purple eyes before leaving with master Illyrio. The young princess stayed on the exact same spot for a few minutes. Since the moment her marriage had been anounced to her, she knew she couldn't love her husband, espicially knowing that it was Loki Odinson they were talking about. The cold hearted lord, who stabbed his brother for kicks and never got out of the castle, never bounding with anyone.

But she quickly realized that, maybe, she thought wrong about her husband.
