Til' The End

 You looked at her,

with her perfect hair, that perfect smile,

so much more beautiful than I,

and yet I can't seem to grasp the thought of you being gone.

Yet you are, but merely from my life, not my soul.

For I still hear that calming voice late at night,

saying 'I'll love you til the end,"

so, why did you desert me my forgotten friend?

Why did you leave me here, in my own pit of misery?

You walk along the edges, desperate not to fall in,

you could never fall for  "her"  again.

But yet I still pray every night,

that you still love me, through all of this fright.

The fright that overtook you, the fright of loneliness,

but you would never be lonely with me at your side.

And so, this is goodbye, my friend,

please know 'I'll love you til the end".
