My Biggest Mistake

My eyes found their way to you,

Have we met?

Or are you knew?

Your presence seems familiar to me,

Who are you?

Who may you be?

My mind tries to recollect,

But to no avail,

It yearns to protect,

My heart was stamped by someone like you,

It gives me chills,

What would you do?

I don’t wish to be afraid,

But he made me this way,

I’m already changed.

You remind me of him, so,

My mind is blank,

Please don’t go,

You might be you,

But you are a lot like him,

I don’t know what to do.

My mind starts to think again,

Wait a second,

You are not like him.

You love, and live, and care.

Unlike him,

He was never there.

Doubting you was my biggest mistake,

I just hope I’m not too late.
