Chapter Seventeen

Olivia Pov

I can't believe I'm here! It's been so long. The whole day being around musical people, instruments, dancing, amazing food and people doing karaoke or singing their original song.

I started squealing and jumping up. I was holding Dylan's hand at the same time.

Dylan: Oh my god, I'm about to marry a child.

That word "child" immediately made me think of Penelope. No, stop Olivia! Stop thinking about it.

Alexis: Did you just realize that now?

Alexis said raising an eyebrow. Lizzie walking besides her shook her head. 

Olivia: I am not!

I stomped my feet and pouted.

Dylan: You just proved my point.

Olivia: Boo!!

I let go of his hand and crossed my arms. I walked away from them. He hates it when I do this. I know I'm so stubborn and lame. But, he's about to take back what he said. Just watch. I love teasing him like this. The way he handles it is so funny.

Dylan: No, come back.

Alexis: Aww! I can officially call you guys, wifey and hubby now. Better than last time.

I rolled my eyes at her playfully. It made me remember that time when she called Chase and I that. It was adorable that time, but I like it better when she calls me and Dylan. It gives me goosebumps. The good kind.

Dylan: You know what, I'll ask later. Future Mrs. Maxwell, please come back. I'm sorry.

I stopped in my tracks and turned to face him. But not meeting his eyes.

Olivia: I'm listening...

Dylan: Ok, I take it back.

Olivia: Take what back?

I said teasing him.

Man, I'm annoying. Why is he still with me? I'm really trying hard to contain my laughter.

Dylan: I take it back. You're not a child.

I stared into Dylan's face. Child. That word keeps wrapping my mind back to Penelope carrying his baby. I don't know if I can do this. It won't be fair to Dylan to go back and forth between Boston and New York to be with me and his son. If he had to chose, which I won't make him do because obliviously he should be with his son. Why did this have to happen? Why us? Why now? 

Dylan: Livi? Are you ok?

I snapped back into reality. 

Olivia: Huh? Oh-um yeah...I forgive you.

I turned around and walked away but an arm around my waist bringing me back . He turned me back around and with his other arm, he put his hand on my cheek. 

Dylan: I asked if you're ok, not if you forgive me.

I just looked at the ground.

Dylan: Is the Penelope situation still bothering you?

I looked him in the eye. I looked behind him to see Penelope smirking at me.  I moved away from Dylan. 

Dylan: Olivia?

Olivia: I'm gonna go find Sindy and Kanupriya.

I turned around and left Dylan with Penelope behind. I wanted to get my mind off of this. I really want to spend it with Dylan but with Penelope around, it's gonna be hard. I know she's not giving up on trying to convince him to move back to New York with her.
