Miyu tossed and turned in her futon but she was unable to sleep. It was strange to be up at this hour. She rubbed her eyes and sat up. As she looked over she saw a silhouette pass by the rice paper door that separated her and Honey's bedroom from the long twisting hallway.
She peeped her head through the doors and saw Kazumi. What was she doing up at this hour? Miyu decided to follow her and see where she was going but something was holding her back.
"Where are you going? It's late." Honey whispered.
"Relax, I'm just going outside." Miyu retorted as she quickly left the room.
Honey didn't like the sound of that idea. She's never up at this hour and she didn't like how her cousin suddenly jerked away from her. She got up and followed Miyu down the stairs and out the doors all the way to the other side of the mansion near the shrine where their parents were sleeping.
She noticed that she was following Kazumi into a moonlit forest. But why? And why is Kazumi there?
"Miyu, what are you doing?"
"Shh! She'll notice we're here." Miyu said as she covered Honey's mouth.
Suddenly, a chilly breeze came over them as Kazumi turned around and noticed them. However, her eyes were glowing red and it scared them terribly.
"Miyu isn't it?" Kazumi began as she slowly walked toward them, "That name fits you well; you really shine in the moonlight."
She leaned on a tree and tugged onto a dangling branch and sakura petals instantly grew and began to drift off into the night like diamonds as the wind blew.
"I suggest you girls stop following me, I would hate to hurt you." Kazumi confirmed with a slight smile.
"What are you? And why are you're hands so bloody?" Miyu asked softly.
"I'm you're great grandmother silly! And I had to eat a late night snack, see?" Kazumi said as she showed them a deer's head.
Honey & Miyu closed their eyes in disgust. They began to huddle close together as they witnessed the true horror of their great grandmother.
"I don't believe this, you aren't our real great grandmother! She wouldn't feed on live animals like that! You're a demon!" Miyu declared.
But she made a terrible mistake. Kazumi's inner demon became very upset and her appearance quickly changed in front of them. Her hair became white, her fingernails grew longer into claws, black wings, and monstrous fangs -it terrified them so much at how hideous she became.
Kazumi then clamped her claws around Miyu's neck and threw her into Honey causing them both to fall to the ground.
"Now that you understand how serious I am, I'll have to put an end to you both and we can all rot in hell together!" Kazumi evily laughed with a montrous voice as she got closer to them.
Both the cousins were scared for their lives and held onto each other, praying that they would be okay, that is until something black swooped in front of them.
"I don't think that's going to happen."
It was Jin, only he was in his devil form as well. Honey & Miyu couldn't believe their eyes. They thought that things like this didn't exist in life but they suddenly found out that demons do. Maybe they are one as well?
"Grandson, don't get in the way of my feeding time!" Kazumi snarled.
"You're not hurting them. I'd be damned if you lay a finger on my daughter."
Frustrated, Kazumi dashed at Jin with lightning speed and he quickly picked up the girls and took them to the shrine and told them to wake everyone up.
After he had done that, he looked back and saw how Kazumi was swooping down onto him so he jumped out of the way and Kazumi broke the wooden floor.
