My best-friends cousin

Chapter 8

~1 month later~

Brad's P.O.V

It's been a month since we broke up and I really miss her.

We have a stupid family dinner tonight at Lexie's. Ugh just what I need, to be around her best friend. What if she is there? She was at the last one.

"Brad, lets go!" I heard my mom yelled at me from down stairs.

"Coming!" Great. I don't want to go.

We get in the car and go to Lexie's. we live far out of town on a little farm, so it takes about 20 minutes to get there.

We finally arrive at Lexie's and we go inside.

Hannah's P.O.V

I was laying in bed watching tv, my favourite show Heartland, when I heard my phone go off. It was a text from Lexie.

It said:

"Hey, wanna come over for dinner?"

I replied:

"Sure. Be there in 5. :)"

I got out of bed and walked to Lexie's.

When I got there I knocked on the door and just walked in.

"Hello. Lexie?" I said.

"Hey! Come up stairs!" She said pulling my arm towards her room upstairs.

We got in room and she closed the door.

"What's going on?" I asked.

"Stay here." She said and walked put of her room, closing the door behind her.

A few minutes passed and she came back. But someone was with her.

Great. Brad.

"You two are going to stay in here until you either get back together to just be friends again. Bye!" She said and left.

I tried to leave but, she looked the door. Awesome friend she is.

"Hey." Brad said.

"Hi." I said with a sigh.

"How've ya been?" He asked.

"I'm fine."

"Cool."

"Why is this so awkward?" I asked him.

"Maybe because we had a bad break up." He stated.

"I don't get what we are supposed to be talking about."

"Me either."

I pulled put my phone and texted Lexie.

Me-what are supposed to talk about exactly?

Lexie- tell him you love him and you miss Hume. I know you do.

Okay. Maybe she's right. I do love and miss him but I doubt he feels the same way. Does he?

I know it sucks but, I tried!! Don't judge! Lol!

I got new glasses today and my eyes are still adjusting so they ate a bit sore, I will try to update tomorrow but I might have too much homework so no promises!
