Caught by Ruth

You're at the People's Choice Awards when you hear the two persons sitting in front of you talking.

"Have you talked to Ruth since, uhhh, you know, ummm, earlier?"

The guy says and you suddenly realise that the British accent is kinda familiar.

"No. I think she saw us, I mean, but she left so fast." says the girl with a very familiar voice as well, and then it hit you, it's Rob and Kristen.

"She's supposed to sit here with us, I hope it's not weird," Kristen continues.

Wait what'd be weird? you think.

Then Rob starts speaking. "Well I mean, it was quick and you still had your dress on, so it wasn't that bad right?"

"Holy-" you scream shocked before you cover your mouth to interrupt yourself, but it's too late; Robsten heard you and has turned around, both of them looking slightly guilty.

"Uh oh," you mumble but quickly cover your panic with an ear-to-ear smile. And then a disaster happens, you open your mouth.

"I-I-I uhm, I did-didn't hear, uhmm" - you giggle - "any-everything, I mean, anything."

Kristen sees Ruth coming out of the corner of her eye. She throws her elbow into Rob's side, letting him know she's walking towards them, without saying anything. You're talking, they were listening to your mumbles about how much you heard of the situation they are totally worried about.

Kristen's manager approaches, looks at Rob and Kristen and then looks at you. You look at the somewhat shy Ruth and decide to defuse the situation by telling her, "those are really cute shoes, where did you get them?" Ruth looks puzzled for a minute but takes the bait. She squeezes passed to her seat and proceeds to tell you. The shoe question completely makes Ruth forget about what she saw earlier and makes the rest of the night easier for everyone.
