Rob is sleeping on the couch when the sounds of Kristen's muffled cries wake him up.
He hurries to their bedroom and sighs when he sees Kristen weeping over her favourite book.
He decides it's best to let her calm a little before he starts talking to her, so he does what he always does when Kristen is emotional because of a book - he heads to the kitchen and makes her a cup of tea with honey.
He hurries to the bedroom once again, with Kristen's tea in his hand this time. She's crying even more than before so he runs to the side of their bed, hands her the steaming cup, and crawls over her trembling body to get over to the other side of the bed. He scoots as close as possible to her before he puts his arms around her. Kristen takes a sip of the tea but gives up the whole drinking project when her tears messes with the hot liquid in the ceramic cup. Rob takes the tea and puts it next to her book on the beside table. Then he lays them both down in the bed and just holds Kristen in his arms as she cries.
"It's gonna be okay, Love," he whispers to her while placing small kisses on her everywhere possible, referring to the point in her fictional book that might have upset her.
When her cries have stilled a little, he reaches for her cup of tea and brings it to her mouth. She starts drinking and has almost stopped crying when Rob sees a silent tear running down her cheek.
"Don't cry, Beautiful," he says as he wipes the tear away from her face.
"I'm not, I'm just.. I... I love you," she whispers back after she's put her cup down on the table.
"I love you," Rob assures her laying them both down in the bed once again. He tightens his grip around her matching the sincerity and protection in the words he's about speak.
"For the rest of my life,"
He hears her cute little snores and chuckles to himself because she always fall asleep so fast. Leaning down to her face, Rob presses his lips to her forehead leaving a kiss there before he drifts to sleep himself as well.
