Ry's pov
After that happened I told Elaine to go back to bed. When I herd the door shut I go over and sit on the couch and start thinking. I hear the door creak open and I see Elaine standing in the hall way. "Are you gonna come cuddle or are you just going to sit out here" her voice cracked. "Yeah yeah yeah I'm coming get in bed" I smile seeing her walking into my room and I get up following her into the room.
She was already laying on the bed and I slide into bed behind her and wrap my arms around her waist. Her body trembling almost, I kiss her shoulder gently and I feel her flench from my sudden touch. "Hey listen, it's going to be okay. He will never lay a finger on you so long as I live" I say, hoping my reassuring words will calm her.
I could feel her body start to get more tense and I hear a sniffle escape from the small body in front of me. "I-I never thought-" her cries turn into soft sobs "how could he even find me?" Her body turns and her face is pressed into my chest. "Why does he still want me"
I couldn't answer something like that. I didn't know what the sick fuck thought. All I did know was that he would never lay a finger on Elaine even if it killed him. That's what he was here for right? "Listen, we can always move. Farther away more out in the middle of no where"
I felt her small body tense up, she had a problem with change. Elaine hated the thought of doing something that she didn't know the outcome of. So convincing her to move was near impossible. "Ry we can't run he will only find us yet again" her arms got tighter around my body.
Little did she know we weren't running. I was doing my job as her protector. I knew that was hard for her to understand but at the end of the day all I wanted was her safety. "We will talk about it another time". I could feel Elaine's mood shift. Her body relaxed and her breathing became deeper. She was alright. That's all that mattered.
