You've been planning a shopping trip with your mom the past couple weeks, and today is the day! You've been doing really good. No crying, or waisting time. You're always trying to be cheerful around your mom so she'd be happy. And when you did cry, you did it at night so she wouldn't know. You walked to the car, getting in on the passengers side, smiling happily.

"Are you hungry?" Your mother asked as she started the car, smiling her usual cute smile.

"Yeah, I haven't ate breakfast yet." You answered and patted your grumbling stomach.

-

"Aish which way do we go?" Your mom asked with a frown as she drove up to a stop light.

"Uh... Left?" You said in an unsure tone before looking at your phone for directions.

"Ah... I should pull over..." Your mom said in a quiet voice.

"Yeah, good idea." You nodded and looked over at her. Your curious expression changed quickly to one of worry. "Mom?" You started to panic. "Mom!" You grabbed her shoulders when her eyes closed. Her foot fell off the glass pedal and her hands slid off the wheel. Next thing you knew, there was a loud crashing sound, and all you could see was black.

-

"Ngh..." You slowly stirred, feeling a sudden uncomfortable pain in your neck. You opened your eyes, and in front of you, you saw a pole halfway through the front of your car. You looked down and saw a bit of blood. The seatbelt cut into your neck a little bit. You looked to the side to see your mother in a much worse state than you.

Her skin was pale, and she was hardly breathing. You gasped softly and took your seatbelt off. "Mom..." You grabbed her shoulders and shook her. You had an awful headache and your vision was a little blurry. "Mom please wake up." You started crying.

You felt a sudden gush of air, but paid no attention to it. Next thing you knew, you were being picked up by strong, unfamiliar arms. You looked up to see a paramedic, shouting inaudible words. Your vision went black again, and you heard nothing but a loud pitched ringing sound.

-

"Will she be ok?" You heard voices next to you-barely recognizable.

"She'll be fine. We just need to keep her here for a few days to monitor her." The voices started to become familiar... Seokjin?

"Thank god..." Jimin's voice said in a relieved tone.

"Jimin..." You spoke weakly and turned on your side slowly, because your back was killing you.

"(Y/n)..!" Jimin ran to the bed and fell to his knees in front of you, grabbing your hands. "Are you ok? How do you feel?" He asked quickly. You open your eyes to see a very handsome face. You couldn't help but smile at the sight.

"Jimin... I'm ok-" You whispered, but barely got out your last word because of Jimin. He pressed his lips to your quickly and caressed your cheek with his thumb. When he pulled away you looked up at him. "Where's my mom..?" You asked.

"She's in the room next to us." He said in a quiet voice.

"I wanna see her..." You sat up slowly and ran your fingers through your hair. Jimin helped you sit up then looked over at Jin.

"She can see her." He said to Jimin. Jimin nodded and scooped you up, bringing you to the room next to yours. You saw your mom, laying there. She looked lifeless. You started to tear up and you gripped Jimin's shirt.

"Momma..." You whimpered and reached out to grab her hand. Jimin set you in a chair by the bed and he kneeled on the floor next to you. You held her hand and rested your forehead against it, beginning to cry. Jimin stayed by your side, rubbing your back and trying to comfort you as best as he could.

After an hour, your mom started to wake up. You looked up at her quickly and sighed in relief. You hugged her, and her arms weakly wrapped around your body. Jimin stood up and watched the heartwarming sight. He could hardly watch you cry. It hurt him way more than anything else.

-

You closed your eyes as your mom stroked your hair in a comforting way. She did this a lot to help you sleep when you were a kid, and she did it when your depression got really bad.

"Do you... Want to know what I wished for..? That night..?" Your mother asked in a weak voice. You thought for a moment about what she meant, and soon remembered the night you spent together stargazing. You simply nodded in response. "I wished that I could see you grow... And meet my grandchildren..." She said with a fake laugh. "I guess wishes don't always come true..." She whispered before closing her eyes.

"Mom? No, no stop don't say that." You started panicking.

"(Y/n)... I love you, please grow up and stay strong without me..." She whispered, closing her eyes after. Your breath got heavy and the heart monitor line went flat. "MOM!" You cried and held her hand tightly. Doctors came rushing in and you stood up, crying harder. Jimin touched your shoulder, and before he could pull you into a hug, you wrapped your arms around his torso tightly and buried your face in his chest. He held you tight and kissed your head softly, whispering things in your ear that you could understand. Your thoughts were all jumbled and you felt dizzy.

"No no no please..." You begged and clenched his shirt tightly. Your tears stained his shirt but he didn't care. "Don't let her leave..." You cried. As time went by your grip got weaker. And soon you passed out in his arms.

-

You woke up, seeing an unfamiliar ceiling above you. "(Y/n)..." Jimin whispered and grabbed your hand. You looked over at him. He looked so sad and hurt. You thought for a bit, trying to remember what happened. You put your hands over your face when you remembered and whimpered.

"She's gone..." You started crying again. After a few moments, Jimin laid in the uncomfortable hospital bed with you. He wrapped his arms around you, pulling you closer to him. You cuddled into him and cried in his chest for a couple minutes. You calmed down, and wiped the tears from your cheeks.

"It's going to be ok (Y/n)... I'm here with you..." He muttered and tilted your head up, kissing you gently. You closed your eyes, weakly kissing back. You felt so broken and lonely, but Jimin was here and you were so grateful.

"Thank you Jimin..." You whispered as you laid your head on his chest, not wanting to move or think anymore. You just wanted the pain to stop. You wanted your mom to hug you and comfort you.

But, that wasn't possible anymore...
