Sam Facetimed Faith. "Why the hell are we going on a double date with Derrick?"
"Well, my mom didn't really give me much of a choice, babe."
"Ugh. But your brothers such an ass. I can't stand him." Sam whined to Faith. Faith rolled her eyes at him.
"I know. I can't stand him either. My mom was trying to make me give up my room to him while he's here. He's a grown ass man! He can sleep in the damn basement!" Sam chuckled. Faith was cute when she was flustered, well, as long as it wasn't because of something he did.
"Wait, how long is he going to be in town?"
"A few weeks or something."
"Oh. Well I'm sure we can avoid your house for a few weeks." He winked at her.
"Whenever my brother comes home my parents think that we need to have 'family time' so avoiding my house may be out of the question. Sam, I am seriously stressing. My brother and I do not get along. He's the biggest jerk ever and I know he's going to embarrass me."
"How is he going to embarrass you?"
"My family has a lot of stories about me from the days when I was a wild demon child. You're going to get an earful."
"So?"
"So? That's embarrassing!" Faith smoothed the hair back from her face.
"Was it that bad?" Sam was kind of interested in hearing these stories.
"Yes!"
"Well then why don't you just tell me?"
"Because," she drew out he word, "I don't feel like it." She bite her lip. Sam just looked at her for a second and then burst out laughing.
"What is so funny!?" His laughter at her expense did not amuse Faith. He stopped laughing and looked at her.
"Babe, it's not a big deal. I really don't care what you did when you were little, and obviously you've changed since then."
Faith exhaled, "That's true."
"When are we going on this group date any way?" Sam inquired.
"I don't know actually. I don't even know when he's coming home."

A few days later Faith and Sam were back to the way things had been before they had broken up. He was taking her home after practice one day and she knew she would be home alone so she took the opportunity.
"Babe, I'm home alone for the evening. Wanna hang out at my place for a while?" She looked at him and gave him a mischievous smirk.
"I'm game." He winked at her. Since they had gotten back together a few days previously they hadn't had much of a chance to hang out. Jillian was like a whirlwind trying to prepare for Derrick's return. She had to prepare a bedroom for Derrick which meant buying new furniture for the bedroom in the basement. Of course, being the rich snob that her mother was she had to fly back and forth to New York to pick out the furniture from only the 'best of the best' furniture stores. Everyday Faith was waking up to find a list of errands to run after band practice. Isn't that why they had maids? Any ways, this morning Faith had woken up to a different kind of note:
Faith, I apologize for all the errands lately. Your father and I have an important meeting today and are staying the night in New York. Your sister will be spending the night at a friends house so feel free to enjoy the house tonight. I would prefer you to order something and have it delivered to the house so that you're not out too late. Have fun. Love, Mom.
