Wynne took the vinyl out of the case and popped it onto the record player. While it played, she slowly undressed herself and put on her pajamas.  She sighed, as she combed her hair while the sound of the smooth bass in come together rung her ears. The record made her feel really good, but she could only think about this guy, Phil. She wondered what he was doing, and she wanted to get over the guilt of taking the record. After all, he told her she could have it. He was very kind, but all she could remember was him saying, " You owe me one". And she really liked his smile. It was cute. But she barely knew him; only for a moment, a glance. She wanted to know more. But what luck or sense was there to going on a wild goose chase for someone.
She plopped on her bed and sighed, then came to a conclusion, "I'll just go downtown tomorrow to do some shopping, and if I somehow manage to see him again, fine."  She let out one last sigh, and turned off the light.

" Wynne you ready for you lesson?" Tony asked, after she had left the kitchen table finishing her breakfast. She dreaded hearing those words, they were such a pain.
" Nope!"
" What do you mean, no?"
" Tony, it isn't even ten o'clock yet!"
" You've got something better to do, then?" He joked.
Wynne was hesitant, " Wynne!" her mother called her name, going down the stairs, " Heres the list of things you need to buy, alright? Just a few things that I forgot to pick up yesterday. I need you to get a few tomatoes, the beefsteak kind? Canned beans and some oranges, alright? Why don't you walk down there? It's isn't too far, about twenty minutes. and you could meet Ella and spend another day down there. And you can take Gunthrey with you! He would love a good walk...and here's some extra pounds, go get yourself some lunch."
Tony could not believe what he was hearing, " What's this? Going back again?"
" Yes, she's seventeen, she can go do some errands for me." She winked and Wynne, and she grinned, " Besides, you can't give her a lesson today, you have got an early rehersal today."
Tony looked as if the lightbulb in his head had just turned on.
" I'll be home this late afternoon, alright? We'll have dinner and then I'll take you to your ballet." She kissed both of them, " I must be going." She said, before shutting the door.
" You got off the hook this time, but we're starting again tomorrow."
She rolled her eyes, and headed upstairs, " Aw come on, you're doing so good right now! You're really getting there, we can't just stop!"
" It doesn't feel like I'm doing better." She says.
" From experience, I know that there are points in learning an instrument that you feel it's so worthless and pointless, but once you get past that, you will very much enjoy it." He was so determined to teach her, " You felt that way with your cello, didn't you? Or with ballet?"
" Sometimes, yeah."
" So it's the same thing."
" Alright you got me, you got me," she sighed.
" Well I guess I'm outta here; good luck walking Gunthrey, he's got a mind of his own," he chuckled, " Remember, practice makes perfect. You could practice from that beginner book while I'm gone."
" Get lost." She scoffs, and he pats her shoulder, heading out to his car.
Once the door shut, Wynne grabbed a bag of crips from the kitchen, the pounds her mum gave her and ran upstairs to her room.
" Thank God for mum." She says to herself, laughing in relief and awe.
Mum was the one who had straightened the house up, but she had been gone doing overnight work, and Dad was traveling, so he was going to be out of town for a while.

She coordinated a outfit that she hadn't worn in a while; it was suttle and comfortable, but still was dresssed up a bit. She quickly hopped into the shower, washed her hair, cleaned her face, slipped on her outfit and sprayed a bit of perfume on. She was ready to seize the day.
