Remus was always so so tired after a night of being a werewolf. Dumbledore made him stay with Madam Pomphrey for a few days after each time, which were probably the loneliest days of the month, since he wasn't allowed visitors all the time.
The marauders tried to make Remus comfortable with chocolate and other goodies, but it was Sirius's contribution that really helped. Each day of the month, Sirius would write a small paragraph about why he loved Remus. By the full moon, he would have about 28 of these for Remus to read while in the hospital wing.
