Katrena-Faddis -------------------------------------------------------------Theo's p.o.v.-"Son, do you really think drowning yourself in alcohol is the right answer?" A hand clamped down on my shoulder.
"It's definitely not the wrong one." Even my voice had a somber tone.
Dad motioned for the bartender to get him a drink. "Is the drunken you better at finding things? Is that why this isn't the wrong answer?"
"It's been three months, do you know that the longer it takes to find someone is the higher chance it is that she is dead?" I asked. The bottle of Whiskey raised to my lips and had a nice burn on it's way down.
"Theo. We are going to find her. I know it." He swipped the drink from my hand and look a long sip after realizing that the bartender wasn't making his way down here anytime soon.
I ran a hand through my unruly hair, Nikki had suggested that I cut it, but after her upduction I didn't feel like it really mattered any longer. "I'm glad you're so sure, because I sure as hell aren't."
"Trust the families ability to get her back alive." Dad's breath smelt like a rich Cuban cigar.
"Trusting family is how I got her into this mess. Alfonso betrayed my trust and now my wife is probably dead." I shouted at him, many in the restaurant turned to see the reason, but after finding the guns strapped to our sides they quickly averted their eyes.
He slammed his hand against the table, forcing the liquid to fly through the air. "I don't care what Alfonso did. If one bastard is going to make you second guess your entire family than obviously you aren't as cut out for this position as I thought you were." Dad quickly picked up the rag to clean the liquor from his hands. "Your wife is terrified, all by herself and your worried about who's going to betray you next. Be a man."
His black dress jacket was all I saw as the door slammed behind him.
"Be a man?" I said to myself. "Be a man? How the hell am I supposed to be a man when your still hanging over my shoulder making sure I do it your way?" I shouted after him. The glass in my hand left shards in the door as it crashed and fell to the floor.
No one in the room made a noise, furthering my loneliness.

Nikki's p.o.v.-"Go. Get in there." The large man yells as he shoves me into the room on the left.
The surprise of the bedroom was definitely welcomed, I had spent weeks sleeping on dirty floors with dish rags as pillows.
I could hear the door slam and a lock being slid into place.
A large queen size bed sits across the room, many pillows and thin blankets cover the floor. The two doors lead to the bathroom and a small closet, the last wall contains a small kitchen like area. A good sink and a reasonable sized fridge, single burner and microwave sit upon the counter.
I busy myself by picking up each pillow and placing it on the bed then folding the blankets. I grab a rag and bucket from beneath the sink, filling it with water and a small amount of soap.
My hands and knees quickly grow raw as I scrub at the floor, erasing layers of dirt.
The work was a distraction that was welcomed after spending so much time in empty holding cells.
"Look, we have our very own Cinderella." One of my captures said in a smug tone.
A rare thing it was for them to say anything, they mostly dropped off the item next to the door before leaving just as quickly and quietly as they had appeared.
He dropped a large bag at the doorway before slamming the door shut behind him.
My body moved before my mind could even register the movement. I grasped at the handles, yanking them apart as quickly as I could.
Vegetables sat in the bag, most nearing the rotten stage.
I immediately brought the molding tomatoes to my mouth, shoveling them in as fast as possible.
Their taste was definitely off and my tounge cringed over the rotten parts, but I was able to swallow without much difficulty.
My mind wandered to the nights when I stood in the kitchen, chopping vegetables as Theo sat at the table or watch t.v. in the den.
I remember making comments about why he didn't just pay someone to come in and cook for us. Theo would always respond by placing soft kisses on me and telling me that he wanted me all to himself.
The world was different then.
I wasn't afraid of what was coming through the door or if they would choose to kill me in the morning.
Life was better because I was with Theo, now I just have to get back to him.
