Above is what sweet Oliver looks like. If you don't remember who that is (since he hasn't been in it much) he is Alexzander's best friend and beta of the Dark Ridge Pack.

A couple weeks have gone by and I swear I have become a prisoner by my own mate. About every day I've woken up alone to him disappearing to do pack work. I guess they have spotted more rogues a few miles away from the pack. At least thats what he has had Skylar telling me every day. Although I was able to get closer with Skylar making at least one friend during my time here so far.

He became like my only friend here since Alexzander hadn't introduced me to the pack yet, or even his parents. Oh well I guess... Not like I wanted my mate to be proud of me or anything.  Either way  I still called Wynter and Luka everyday no matter what.

"Luka I told you the other day that we were coming down in a couple weeks to River's ceremony of becoming Alpha. Also, you are more than welcome to come visit me since the only person I have to hang with is this pain in the ass here."

"Hey, I heard that!" Luka and I laugh as we hear Skylar from the other room.

"I know sis it's just hard to get away since I am about to be beta. I have to go through everything with River. Who knew that this shit would be such a hassle? Maybe though in a couple days I can sneak off and come see you so I can beat up this punk who is stealing my spot."

"This punk isn't taking your spot I promise. I do have to go before he eats all my breakfast along with his. Goodbye Bubba."

"See ya, sis." As I hang up the phone I drop it on the couch then ran into the kitchen to find Skylar licking off his plate and reaching over towards mine. Quickly I smack his hand hard causing him to whimper and give me a pouty face,

"You should know by now that pouty face stuff doesn't work on me mister. Especially when you are trying to take my sausage."

"First you call me a pain in the ass then you beat me. What will you do next?"

Playfully I give him an evil smile, "Don't tempt me. My brother and I have a record of doing some evil things to people. Do you want to be the next victim?"

Skylar quickly raises his hands in surrender causing me to fall out of my chair laughing at the face that was so full of fear, "Ouch!"

"Ha! That is what you get for threatening me!" I bounce back up making him squeal like a little girl as we begin a game of chase. 

As Skylar falls over the couch to get away from my grasp there was a knock on the door. In an instant you see Skylar's head pop up from behind the couch then slowly creeps over to the door causing me to laugh at his goofiness.

As he opens the door he flies back on his ass as an older woman and man come bursting through the door, "Where is my daughter in law at? I can't wait any longer to meet her so where is she Skylar tell me now."

Skylar quickly gets up and bows, "Hello ma'am, Lyla is right over there. Alexzander hadn't told me you and former Alpha would be coming here."

"Well, son that is because he doesn't know. Sadly, not even I could keep his mother away. She just couldn't wait any longer to meet his mate," who I am assuming is Alexzander's father chuckles.
