~Alexander's POV~

It had been a week and my little Lyla still hadn't woken up. Thankfully my father and Oliver had taken over the pack for me so I could be by her side at all times.

When Chuck the pack doctor had finally come out to us he had revealed she had been injected with a serum of silver and something he had never seen before. Although I was beyond angry for what they had done to my mate Chuck had told me thanks to the special bond from Luka and Lyla helped her wolf to fight off whatever they did to her.

Still, it was killing me that she was still asleep like this. All we wanted was to hear her angelic voice again, and see those gorgeous eyes with all her love looking at me. I was becoming restless as each day passed on by. I couldn't believe I didn't protect her from this like I should have done. She is my mate, the more precious thing to me in this world and I let that monster take her from me possibly forever. 

One thing I did want to know is what that wolf who claims to be Magnus meant by he will not let Luka and Lyla's destinies be fulfilled. Luka is already on lock down by his whole pack. They had done the alpha ceremony so he and River were more powerful to protect him and the pack. I know when she wakes up she will be so disappointed that she wasn't able to be there for them for their ceremony.

I look down to see my phone light up knowing it was probably Luka asking how his sister is doing.

Is she awake yet? -L

Sighing I look over at her beautiful face as she laid on the bed looking so peaceful, "Baby girl you got to wake up. Luka is having a break down without you. With every second you are like this my heart breaks. Please, Lyla love you need to wake up for us. For the pack, your parents, and Skylar before he has a fit that he has no one to cook him food at the house."

I gently grab her hand as I rub my thumb against her soft skin. I look down fighting back the tears that want to break through as I answer Luka,

Nope, still nothing she seems to be getting better. I promise though when she does wake I will call you immediately.

Good because I have to see my sister. Also if River and I have to deal with another day of a weeping Wynter I will lose it. -L

I chuckle at the thought of Wynter giving them hell over not letting her go see Lyla and that she had woken yet, "What's so funny over there?"

My eyes widen as my head quickly snaps up to see those beautiful eyes I missed so much staring at me as Lyla sits up stretching, "Oh baby you are awake!" With no hesitation, I snake my arms around her pulling her into my lap as I climb into her bed.

She giggles and winces a little, "Aww did someone misses me? Careful I am a little tender mister."

"I'm sorry baby girl I didn't mean to it's just I've missed you so much. I haven't left your side this whole week since we brought you home. I didn't know if you would ever wake up," gently I nuzzle my face into her neck near her mark breathing in her intoxicating aroma.

"I was really asleep that long? Wait what happened? Why am I in the hospital Alexzander?"

She pushes me back confused as she looks around the room and back at me, "Alexzander what is going on?"

"Hold on baby girl I will go get the doctor because this shouldn't be right," as I go to move her from my lap she grasps my arm tightly. "No, you stay right here and tell me what the hell is going on Alexzander. I went shopping with Skylar and next thing I know a week later I wake up in the hospital. So I would like to know what the fuck is going on."
