It was dinner time. I grabbed my belongings and stuffed everything in a leather bag that was big enough to fit bottles, books and herbs. I peeked out the curtain and checked to see if anyone was guarding my door.
I magically swing in a vine without making too much noise. I try to hide myself from Moses so he wouldn't see me from his room.
I head down to the waterfall. Close by it would be the force field and a path to a different kingdom. I stand there in front of it making sure no one sees me.
I clench my hands and held my fingers almost touching it. "Do I dare do this?" I think about the risks. "Ah! But it's worth it right?" I sneak my hand getting closer and closer.
"ELora!!" A man voice shouts. I can see his figure coming closer to me. "What do you think you're doing??" It was Moses. My 10 second apart twin brother. He in fact he was born before me and makes him the boss of me.
"Moses! I was just uh, looking through it." I chuckle nervously. "Really? With a bag that big?!" I nodded.
He then grabs me by the wrist and pulls me back to the village. "Hey that hurts!" He stops and let's go of me. "Do you have any idea what you would of caused? Do you?!!" Sparks of flames started appearing around him.
"Yes I do." He turns his body toward me already feeling his heat from his back. "Then don't forget what father said!" This was the first time I've seen him so angry especially to me. Silence filled the air. "Can you at least control your temper, you don't want to start another fire." He continues walking because the gods know how many fires he's caused us all in danger because of his temper. I look down at the floor as we both walk back.
I walk towards my room that was at the top of the tree and decided to walk up the stairs instead of roping myself up.
Everyone was eating at the camp fires site. But I didn't feel like eating anything. The thought of being yelled at by Moses made me lose my appetite.
I place my bag on the small kitchen table I had. I sigh and started taking everything out. "I might as well make myself a tea with these herbs."
I grab a tea kettle and place on top of the furnace. Being at a high altitude could get really cold sometimes. With that I placed each herb one by one into the kettle and let it boil.
I grabbed for another book that were about the different types of crystals and what they could do. It was cozy and warm as I sit waiting for my tea to be ready when a gentle knock comes from the door.
I had already closed the door, to keep the heat in but I don't bother to answer it only knowing it could be Moses to apologize.
"ELora it's me Sebastian." I wondered why he would be here. I quickly hurry to go open the door. I slide the curtain in front of me so I was able to see a part of his face. "Did my brother send you?" He smiles "No, I brought you your dinner."
~
"It had me wondering why you didn't come down tonight." Sebastian sat across the table from me as I started eating. "I didn't feel like eating." I stared at my plate and then dozed off to the tea kettle that was screaming air. "But you're eating right now!" He laughs and I giggle. "Hey do you want some tea? The herbs are from the kingdom of Dayton." I started to pour it in two cups.
"Sure but how did you manage to get that?" He asks. I walk back to the table and hand him a cup. "Clara went over there for business and she was able to buy me some." I smiled starting to feel sad again. "I wish I can go myself. To be able to go to different kingdoms is a dream come true." I take a slip of my tea feeling it's warmth against my lips and rushing down my throat and warming up the lungs. How I loved that feeling.
