I sit next to the grave that I had dug for Ellie sobbing, and even though I had not known her for that long she had become a friend. I have lost to many friends wether childhood or otherwise. It always seems like anyone who gets close to me dies except for Selene. I don't think anything could take her badass sarcastic self out. Hah now with the worms gone what are we supposed to do rebuild humanity and then what let another crisis come and wipe us out again? "No." I saw to my self. "There has to be another way." "Another way for what?" I jump at the sudden appearance of Selene some how after all these years she still sneaks up on me. "Another way to go about things now." I reply still wiping tears from my eyes. "What do you mean?" She asks. "I mean we can't just repopulate the earth another crisis will come along with I am sure another apocalypse." I say trying not to sob again. " You don't know that Alex I am sure that for once the world will finally be at peace and security for all people will be back." "You can't be sure about that." "I'm not but I am sure that if another problem arises, We will rise up to the change and face it head on." " Maybe your right Selene maybe we will be fine but what if we lose?" " Then we will again rebuild from ashes." "Huh ok I suppose you are right. Help me fill in this grave."
Two hours later
I stand over looking the destruction that fallen upon the Earth "Well we have a way to go. Just then primus teleported next to me. "I can't give you Ellie how ever I will give you and the rest of the survivors immorality. Once you hit the age of 32 you will cease to age and so will this be for all eternity."
"I guess me and the rest of the survivors had better start rebuilding oh hold, I found a penny."
