Chapter ten alex

Before I was able to jump back I had the hairs burnt of my face. " well shit." I said to my self. I spent hours siting there and finally I saw a fire extinguisher right in front of my face. "well I am a fucking dumbass it was right in front of my face" two hours and five extinguishers later I reached the other side. The door opened to a cavern and the only way was to jump across extremely unstable pillars. so using logic I tried to use my rocket boots but I was not able to lift up off the ground. I checked my scanners and they said that the room had an adverse affect on my boots that should not be possible. I could feel my heart beating a million miles an hour in my chest like it was about to beat out of my chest. I closed my eyes and jumped towards the first pilar. I opened my eyes and I saw there were four more pilars, but each one was farther and farther away from the last one. I jumped to the second and hit the ground on my left side too hard. "AHHH." I screamed in pain. "SHIT I think I broke my whole left side of my ribs." I touched them and automatically regretted it. the pain almost caused me to black out. I felt at that very moment a feeling of extreme despair. I drew my legs to my chest as best as I could without hurting my ribs more and started to cry because I knew that all hope was lost unless I could heal my ribs but, unfortunately I lack that power and had no medical supplies.

Five hours later

I do not know when I drifted off to sleep but, I woke up on my left side and felt no pain. I was extremely surprised by this and carefully touched my left side. I felt no pain. I almost yelled in success but then remembered where I was. I looked ahead and jumped to the third pilar. I landed a little to close to the edge of it but landed on it none the less. I not wanting to waste anymore time jumped to the fourth pilar and had to grab the ledge to keep from falling to my doom. I looked at the distance I had to jump and I felt extreme panic. nonetheless I jumped and I missed the ledge of the fifth pilar by less than an inch. falling I just simply closed my eyes and crossed my arms against my chest because I knew that it would be the end of me. and as I fell to my death I remembered all the good times before this whole worm thing started. me making out with my girlfriend many times in the movie theater. me having my first kiss. me before I was a cyborg. and with that last memory I hit the ground and smiled.
