When it first began, I didn't think much of it. The brain has a habit of passing off "unusual" things you hear or see as paranoi. What a lie that is. But, then why does it keep us sane? Why is it that when we tell ourselves, "Its ok, you didn't see anything, you're just freaking yourself out. You're tired, that's it. That was just a dust particle that got in your eye. It wasnt real..." we can continue to think of our world as "normal", "plain", or worst of all... "safe"? Because in reality, everything is real, and nothing you say to reassure yourself will ever keep the monsters in your head from trying to grasp your attention. YOU-ARE-NOT-SAFE.
My story begins with a little 8 year old girl, her name was Abbi. Abbi was a very spirited child and always helped around the house, her parents were the ideal model for any parents, they had raised her to the best of their abilities. The only thing they couldn't prevent was her disappearance. At age 12, blond hair blue eyed Abbi Asher Christopher, vanished.
I was 10 when my parents told me the horrifying news, I was so young, with my black bob and bright green eyes. And the worst part was; there was no trace of her once so ever. They were never able to find any clues to who took her. But I know better, no one took her. Something did. And I'm determined to find her no matter what...
Now, at age 18, my long black hair flows freely, my green eyes dotted with flecks of gold, and my dark fair skin vibrant with years in the sun. I graduated highschool at age 16 with a straight A+ record and numerous awards, since my perfect sister was gone, I had to keep my family's name honourable, if not for my parents, then for her. I am my parents most prized possession, I am Scarlyt Rine Christopher.
