Sol was outwardly nonchalant, and internally petrified, as the behaviour of the reclusive often is. It is quite easy to understand that there are three types of fear; there are fears that you will admit to others, fears that you keep to yourself, and fears that you refuse to accept you have. Sol's own terrors wandered disdainfully amongst the latter end of the spectrum, and I'm doing so increased in gravitas by the day.
There was really no accounting for the way he had become, his parents being perfectly respectable individuals, who had all but convinced themselves that their son was entirely unsusceptible to change. As 'luck would have it, he was o encounter Luna, who would become absolutely resolute to the cause of repairing him, and defy an eon of complications in order to do so.
It is remarkable how we allow a part of ourselves to die, so that the people we love might prosper.
