Me: Hm... My friend, Vertica07 has a dare for us.
Ponyboy: Ooh! Cool! What is it?
[I squint in concussion as I reread the odd message.]
Me: She-... She wrote-... "chicken dance"...?
[Awkward silence.]
Sodapop: Um... I'm confused...
Vertica07 : Don't you mean confuzzled?
[Another awkward silence.]
Two-bit: Oh well.
[Two-bit stands up and does the chicken dance. Everyone stares at him, confused, while at the same time, wondering how some anonymous fangirl randomly showed up at our house, uninvited. And wearing a Mickey Mouse 8-bit graphic tee that hasn't been invented yet. Two-bit stops dancing and turns to the anonymous girl.]
Two-bit: Hey, nice shirt,... Doll...
[Vertica's cheeks get completely red and she simply turns around and leaves the house.]
[Another extremely long awkward pause.]
Dally:... Well,... That was weird...
Me(nodding): Agreed.
[Final awkward pause.]
Two-bit: I like this game.
[Oops. Did I say final awkward pause? This is the last one.]
Me: O...kay... Next dare.
