Thranduil's whole character and aura shifted in only seconds from a twisted raging soul to one of a stern and respectable aura.
His icy blue eyes glazing over with fake coldness however his eyes presented as an iciest and darker.
"Stand down." Thranduil ordered calmly, his eyes calculating as one of the guards handed him his own sword to which he replied with a respectable nod.
"Father, I am sorry, my trust has been betrayed. I have put y-" le goals had started, guilt and regret clear on his face, an after expression of the many times he had been betrayed by his own kindness towards others.
"An apology is not needed." He replied calmly sheathing his sword before turning his back to me his eyes strong and stern, all I could do was glance away angered and shamed for a reason I did not know of.
"Father we must depart, Princess Ancalimë has arrived." Legolas stated quickly and I was stunned at how rigid Thranduil went. His body turning into a statue. Instead Thrandul blatantly ignored me and turned his head sharp to Legolas.
"What is she doing here?!" He hissed at Legoalas, causing surprise to bloom on his features, he looked stunned and bewildered not having a clue on what to say but it seemed after a few moments he composed himself.
"She claimed to the court she would like to discuss some personal matters including your Marital status, Father." Legolas spoke, his voice falling to slight venom at the fading of the sentence. My jaw dropped slightly before I composed to myself. I didn't even notice hurabi collecting up my weapons and his carrots.
"Wasn't she married...!" Thranduil sighed with frustration.
"Fine bring Princess Reydreil with us, do not chain her-" Thranduil had started only to be cut off by Legolas who made sure to throw a heated venomous glare my way before exclaiming at his father.
"She will be chained and thrown in the dungeons!" He hissed slightly, Thranduil didn't looked impressed by his son instead he stood silent, his glare seething and Legolas cowered slightly.
He turned to the soldiers behind him with a formative look. "Ego!"he ordered clear and sternly, the soldiers bowed gracefully before fading between the trees and bushes while yielding their choice of defence.
What was happening? I thought he would leave after chaining and humiliating me. I waited for Thranduil to reply or perhaps scold Legolas after the Warriors left but instead he turned around, his blue eyes meeting my flamed ones, his seething glare yet to fade and I nearly punched myself at the near squeak that was about to leave my lips.
"I am not going to chain you for a reason, Maiden." Thranduil stated calmly, bracing his hands behind his back elegantly, me and Legolas in sycronise, dropped our jaw at his words. MAIDEN! Did he just call me a maiden?!
"I don't know it is my mind playing with me but did you, oh great Thranduil, call me a awful horrendous sorcerer beast, a maiden?" I questioned bewildered, Thranduil instead cocked his eyebrows at me before a twisted smirk took over his lips, the plump lips curling snarlingly.
"You see, my son Legolas would know too, Ancalimë is a maiden that has long before Legolas's Mother tried to court me, she harassed my other suitors to have my hand in marriage-" Thranduil started explaining calmly only to cut off by a snickering Reydreil.
"Seriously? Someone actually fought over yo-" Reydreil started cackling before gulping her words down with a feined look at his seething heated glare thrown at her.
"Well yes, I guess she looked over my oh so terrible personality, I mean it wasn't as if I was attractive..." Thranduil stated through his teeth with a curling smirk that caused annoyance on the princess face before her eyebrow twitched in irritation.
"Vain tyrant king." She muttered, arms crossed over her armoured chest, glancing away momentarily.
"Watch your mouth little maiden." Thranduil hissed at her before smirking triumphantly at the frustration that bloomed across her face at the last word.
"Stop calling me a maiden! Am a warrior!" She spat back nearly hurling her fists at the king before rethinking.
"Oh yes how could I forget you tried to cowardly escape your death." Thranduil taunted back, Reydreil scoffed with disbelief.
"What you think I was gonna sit there for my deat-" both fumed characters were silenced by a third voice who sounded confused and horrified.
"Father what is going on? Your conversation is anything but formal, you should be putting death on her filthy head instead of squabbling like youthful Elves." Legolas exclaimed to which both king and princess sighed internally before backing away slightly from each other with glares.
Thranduil however realising the loss of his normal composure and stealthiness coughed before stiffening up and feigning a stern expression.
"Silence. Both of you. Listen Ancalimë is here for my hand in marriage yet again, after her I am assuming failed marriage I will obviously not court her, however she will not stop until she sees an unbreakable barrier such as my heart been taken again. Therefore since we have a free fierce maiden as our prisoner you could play the part of my lover so she w-" before Thranduil could finish off and fuming and horrified Reydreil retched for a moment before glaring at the king.
"Did you just say you want me to fake date you?! Are you out of your fuc-!"
King Thranduil ignored the slight slithering of some feeling in his chest. The whole feeling was alien to him as he didn't understand why he felt anything towards the wild princess.
"Father, there's many other maidens in Mirkwood!" Legolas intervened with disbelief and throwing a venomous look at Reydreil who just glanced away , still ashamed for the betrayal she did to him.
"Be quiet! Yes I did say that. Legolas none of the maidens in Mirkwood could challenge her twisted wrath. You know how twisted she is." Thranduil explained with reason.
"Marry her then to deal with this wench-"
Reydreil jaw dropped.
"Did you just call me a wench you little basta-" she had snarled.
"-marrying with Anclaime is better, a political marriage with beneficial factors."
"We have nothing to gain from her land."
"Father-
"No more complaints. After Ancalimë departs then will chain her and execution will follow. Fine?" Thranduil asked slepsly staring at Legolas who murmured smoething under his breath with a scoff before nodding with a grimace.
My heart dropped into my stomach at his words.
"Execution?!" I exclaimed grabbing my sword from hurabi who seemed to have taken a seat with a carrot in his mouth.
I unsheathed my long sword.
