All day during work, Shadow was trying his hardest to remember to, for one, ask Dann if he could join the guard if he came near. He also wanted to see if the hooded man came back into town so he could ask a couple questions. What did he mean by "we"? And what if Dann didn't accept Shadow? So many things to think about. Business was very slow that day, so he decided to go out and buy some metals and upgrade tools. It was a pretty long walk to the tool shop and Shadow upgraded his Mallet to sharpen swords better, and got more magma for the disposal, since it was running low, and his water for the cooling the hot metals. After Shadow got his mallet, the trader said, "Watch out, I'seen some shady lookin' men 'round lately, look like they don' live here. I'd be careful 'round this side 'a town." Shadow knew exactly who he was talking about, but more than one... Shadow decided to inspect more into the hooded men. "Where did you see them last?" Asked Shadow. "Hmm, let's see, last I saw 'em, they were in the marketplace, looked around for a couple seconds like they was 'a lookin' for a somethin' in particular and jus' suddenly left and started headin' that 'a way..." Answered the Trader as he pointed towards the forest. "Oh, by the way, the name's Jon Fisher. I'll keep an eye out for anythin' else, if you want?" "That would be greatly appreciated, and it was very nice to meet you, my name's Shadow." He said. "Shadow, eh? Nice name ya got there. Well, Shadow, be careful out there!" Said Jon. Shadow didn't know this side of town very well, so he started looking around in the spot Jon had told him about.

Suddenly, Shadow saw two men with hoods, just like the one that came to his shop yesterday. They wore the same things the man did but different colors, and he couldn't see their faces at all by the face masks and their hoods over their eyes. Extra knives, throwing knives and throwing stars hung on their bandeliers, looking very threatening. They took a one second look at Shadow and started to run away. "HEY!!!" Yelled Shadow as he ran after them. They sprinted, dodging all obsticles and civilians, leaving Shadow in the dust. Shadow took a moment to observe the area, and did his best. He ran, jumped on top of carts and wheelbarrows and eventually he caught up behind the mysterious men. They ran into the forest and one lifted the other up the tree. " Alright, what are you doing? Why are running away? And who are you guys?" asked Shadow impatiently. The man looked left and right for a way of escape, but after he knew there was no way of escape, he took off his mask, pulled down his hood and said, "Fine, I'm Dreth, and this is Garret. We were protecting this village until recently, our weapons stock ran low. There's only seven of us in our guild, but so far we have taken down threats to Dranix that we know the guards can't handle. Yesterday, we sent out another member, Aaron, to see if we could get some new weapons to restock. He told us about you and said to go to you for swords." Shadow started to look confident. "I could try some of those strange weapons out. I'd love to be your blacksmith if the guild is alright with it, just let me know soon." Said Shadow, very exited. He got to help a guild that saves his town. In a way, he was going to help Dranix!
