As the team headed out on what would be possibly a multiple day journey, Shadow thought, 'Why can't we take horses or some sort of transportation? Wouldn't that make sense?' He also was kind of worried that some people would see them sneaking by. "I'll scout out the area, Aaron said there was a boat near the shore." said Dreth. He seemed to be leading the group, more than Garret and Ariad were. Shadow looked up to him, in a way, as someone strong, a great leader. He climbed a tree, and after a couple minutes, he said, "There it is! Come on!" The boat was fairly big, and had a cargo space for their luggage. They all climbed aboard, raised the sails and headed off. They sailed for hours, and they stopped along the way on small islands. One of which they saw a light. Being almost sunset, the light was distinct. Obviously, on such a small island, there wouldn't be a light, but with further investigation, they saw seven tents in total, and near them were troops with similar gear as them, but they had blue suits with light blue cloths strategically attached to them. They were troops of Xu'ulan! The team concluded that they were enemy troops scouting them as they passed, and had archers as well! "Alright, Garret, move with me, we'll be getting up close by their left. Ariad, come halfway to them from the right. And Shadow... umm... Take them from behind, after we begin the charge, you throw a smoke bomb a good ways in front of you to distract them, then start to cut down the tent area and we'll be there soon. Everyone got it?" explained Dreth. "Okay, let's go, on my mark......CAW CAW!" That was his que to begin. Ariad walked over to a big rock on the left of the troops, unseen. All the troops looked left as they saw Dreth and Garret charging them with their... KNIVES!? Shadow couldn't believe his eyes, knives! Against heavily armed troops with spears! Shadow also remembered his time, and threw a smoke bomb right behind them, and they threw their knives at two of the troops as he threw it. Then, they pulled out their swords, and all of them were completely caught off guard by the arrows, as well. Dreth and Garret sliceded them all to pieces, and few defended. Shadow ran over to the tents, and saw one of them come out of the tent. Shadow quickly hid next to a tent, and pulled out his knife. Shadow could hear him run over near him, and slowed down as he got near Shadow. He must have heard his breathing. Shadow couldn't move, that would have made sound. His heart beat fast, he was sweating, and was breathing even heavier than before. It started to rain as Shadow made his mind up. He jumped out from the tent, knife in hand. The man drew his sword. "I knew I heard something, you pickpocket! You're nothing but a kid!" he said. Shadow slowly filled with more and more anger, and so he made up his mind. He leaped forward, grabbed his neck, and rushed forward, slamming the man on the ground. Shadow quickly turned around and aimed for the man's throat, but he blocked it with his sword. The knife flew out of his hands, and the man stood up and aimed for Shadow's face. Shadow barely evaded to the right and kicked the sword out of his hands into the mud next to him. The man grabbed an arrow from a pile nearby, and was ready for the final hit. But Shadow made up his mind. He punched the man directly in the face, and he landed on the ground. Shadow put his foot on the man's chest, and with one final stroke, he stabbed the man in the throat with all his power. Most of the sword went all the way through, and Shadow said "never underestimate me, bastard." Lightning struck. Everyone else was looking at him from a ways away. Shadow looked at them, looked back at the man, and slowly pulled out the sword and looked at it. Dreth came over, smirked and said "I believe that sword's yours now."
