He holds it out for the first member in line. In seconds a knife is in one of their hands, and they cut their palm, dripping their blood into the goblet. The cut heals, bloodflow stops, and he's a statue once more.

The process is repeated for each member as the captain slowly makes his way up the row towards me. As soon as my nose catches the scent the thirst comes. Why did I agree to it?? Nightshade bounds though me, obviously in shadow form, and reminds me of the awnser to my question.

When the captain reaches the last person, instead of moving on he hands the 3/4 of he way full goblet to the person, before completing the process himself. He then takes the goblet back before calmly walking towards me.

This isn't going to end well. The captain climbs the platform, stopping right in front of me.

"Now" My eyes widen as he offers me the goblet. I take it. He was the one in the clearing! I take one look at the contents of the goblet before downing it.

It was absolutely delicious. Best thing I have ever tasted. The captain bows.

"My Queen." My eyes widen again. I was completely wrong. This went incredibly well. The captain turns around, motioning for me to follow.

I do, walking down the line of men, each bowing and saying, "My Queen" as I pass. Nightshade walks up to me, finally out of energy and out of his shadow form. I narrow my eyes at him. He knew, I know it.

A sleek black limo pulls up. A limo. Cars are reserved for vampires, and humans that work for/serve more important vampires. Therefore my first ride in a car is a limo. Before I get in the next girl is called out. Basically the queen bee at school, she annoys me to no end.

"No! That is supposed to be me! Not that stupid dork of a girl" she yells. Every single vampire gasps. Suddenly every member of the Shadow Guard is growling, fangs bared and full on glaring at the idiotic girl. I swear, Luiciana has no brain in her head.

"Do you mind if one of us sucks her dry?" The captain asks, still glaring.

"I honestly would like to do it myself. I have since I first got thirsty."

"Perfect."

In exactly three minutes Luiciana is slung over the captain's horse, unconscious, and there is a small sack of money on the announcer's table. All the members follow the limo, with me inside, their horses galloping at unnatural speeds. Well they are shadow creatures after all. Maybe this will be fun.
