Chapter 2
Summer has passed. There's not much vacationists visible by the seaside. The chaise longues were empty so that's where Kyri chose to kill her time. The sky was dark, it appeared it will explode any moment but Kyri didn't bother. The wind blew hard. She felt its harsh touch against her cheeks. She tightened her grip on her white cap but dust of sands forcibly entered her eyes that made her loose hold of her cap and it flew away along with the raging wind.
"Ugh!" she chased where it was taken by the strong wind. She saw a man picked it so she came toward him, still rubbing her eyes. The man then handed back the cap to her.
"Thank you." she uttered.
"Uhm, your eyes are red? Are you okay?"
"Ah yes, just got an eyeful of sand." she smiled.
"The wind is so cruel today." He looked long and steadily at her, after seconds it turned to a gape. "Warren is right. She has a big similarity with the woman in Bangkok." he thought.
"Excuse me? You alright?" Kyri asked.
He appeared really perturbed. "Oh, yes. You just remind me of someone. You looked like her."
Kyri wrinkled her brows and smirked.
"That facial expression... close to exact!" on his mind again.
"To be honest with you, I'm contemplating the same. Anyway, people have their own look-alikes everywhere."
"Anyhow, yeah you are right." he concurred.
The rain started to pour. She quickly wore her cap as they ran together and searched for a refuge. They were already in the area where the cottages are stationed when the rain became severe. They have no choice but to get into the empty cottage. They were catching for their breaths when they got in.
"You alright?" the man asked.
"Yup, thanks."
"I'm Andrew by the way." he stretched out his hand.
"Kyri." she clasped her hand to his. "Pleased to meet you."
"Nice name!" he nodded as he complimented.
"I find it weird though, but thanks." she beamed.
......
Rizza was in the pantry with her co-workers. They were waiting to be called on who will be the next attendee for the clients. "My turn now." she winked at them as she stood up. She is excited as always. Rizza is Kyri's best friend. They knew each other since grade school. They were classmates until they graduated sixth grade and separated for eight years but never failed to lose communication. They were only separated by distance. A promise had been made that time, that when they finished their studies, they must work together on the same company. Then they met again and have fulfilled the pact then. That's how their friendship is. Kyri has a degree in Physical Therapy while Rizza in Hospitality Management. And in this magnificent five star hotel where they were both accepted made their bond possible.
She proceeded to the reception area to welcome the guest assigned to her.
"Rizza, his room number is 720." the desk officer informed her and handed her the swipe card.
"Alright." she uttered. "This way sir." she led the customer.
When they were in the elevator, she saw their reflection. Her eyes nailed on the man. "Oh my!" she wanted to shrill but controlling not to. He has broad shoulders, physically strong and active in appearance, muscular in build. In short, he has an athletic type of figure."Another Mr. Handsome. I already have three in a week! Thanks God! What a great week I have!" she giggled.
