Chapter 3
The next morning, they met again by the beach.
"May I know why you chose this place as your vacation spot?"
"Actually, it was recommended by my uncle. He's right, this place has something."
"Tranquility? Stress-free? Or you're here to reflect?"
"It can be all of the above." he chortled.
"Still not over with your past relationship?" she was being inquisitive. "Half a year is already long. Sometimes, you have to give up. It's crazy that we keep on thinking about them when they don't do the same and don't even care. Giving ourselves a false hope of them coming back soon, you'll get tired too. It's not always easy to wait." she paused and sighed. "It's not hard to move on, they say. But yeah, it's just hard to leave behind what you're not supposed to bring along. And you still have that in your baggage."
He didn't talk but his eyes fixed on her.
"Oh! I said too much! Sorry." she tightened her lips.
"You had experienced those feelings?"
"Not yet." she smiled coyly. "I learned them from my friends. They like sending those kinds of quotes. I didn't know I will be applying them to someone. Dude! Those quotes totally fit your situation." she raised her hand for a high five but she realized they are not that close for her to act like that. So she slowly put it down.
He got her gesture and responded to her. "High five! You're winsome." he beamed.
She simpered. "Wanna have some fun?" She's trying to help him divert.
Andrew eyed her.
"Okay, let me help you." She sought for an idea, her vision travelled on their surroundings. As she hobbled, she found an idea so she slued back to her companion who's just tailing her. "Alright, pay attention there." referring to the two ladies in bikinis. "Try to mingle with them." she pointed her lips at them.
Andrew gawked at her. He could not believe that this girl would give him such suggestion.
"Why? Look at them, they're sexy." she's watching them.
"You want me to flirt with them?"
"I did not say flirt, I said mingle." eyes still glued on the ladies.
Andrew made a several steps to block and face her. He crossed his arms and stared at her as if examining her. "Are you a lesbian?"
Kyri was struck dumb but then let out a smirk.
"You really are?!" he was shocked.
"What if I am? What's your problem?"
"That's why you prefer female customers over males?"
"Aish! Don't you feel their stares?" she ignored and harked back to the previous subject.
"I'm asking if you --"
Kyri cut it off. "Sssh!" she put her index finger on his lips, I gotta prepare for my shift later so bye for now." then walked away.
"Hey!" he shouted but she didn't even look back nor stop. "What the hell?" shaking his head.
"Lover's quarrel?" he heard from his back. She's one of the ladies Kyri's referring to.
He just smiled and left.
"Snob! Hmp!" the woman blurted.
......
Rizza crooked her arm on Philip's as they're heading to the seaside. There, they started to play with the waves until they went to 'catch me, catch me'. She didn't notice that she was going farther from the shore. Worried Philip dived and blocked her under water. "You're going farther."
