"Charlie we need to go into the living room, dad needs to tell us something.", I said to Charlie, my younger brother. "Okay I'll be there in a second." Charlie responded.
When we walk into the living room, dad gestures to the couch. "Please sit down.", he says. " This is going to be really bad." I thought after seeing the expression on dad's face."I was just on the phone with the company that I'm working and they-"
"They fired you! That's horrible!", I interrupted.
"Yes, but that isn't even the worst of it.", Dad continued. "Now we won't be getting any money, so I will have to work on the farm the entire day."
I slouch upstairs to my room and flop on the bed. Staring at my ceiling I become lost in the world of my thoughts. How will I be able to help? Should I help dad on the farm or should I get an after school job? Wait, that's it! All of a sudden I know what to do.
"Hey dad I'm going to call Jayson!", I holler.
"Okay Tyler!", dad said back to me.
I race over to the phone and dial Jayson's number.
"Hey Tyler, what's up?"
"Do you have time for an after school job with me?", I asked.
"Yeah, why?"
"I'll tell you after school tomorrow, okay?"
"Okay."
"Bye."
"Bye."
