Chapter 13

"oh my god" I say and cover my mouth. Ky. She was hooked up to so many wires. She was so pale. They were draining her blood into machine. I knew they were up to something. "10k" I whisper and notion for him to come over. He looks into the window and looks back to me. "Come on" I say and open the door. "Ky?" I asks. I shake her and she slowly opens her eyes. "Wh- th-" she mumbled. "Ky it's okay. We're gonna get you out of here." I say. "Help me" I tell k and we unhook a of the wires and tubes. 10k picks her up and we try to find our way out. We make it to the door that leads out the building and push it open. We push and push but it wouldn't budge.

"And where do you think your going?" We hear behind us. It was him. Marshall. The man that greeted us when we first got here. "You lied to us. You said we had nothing to worry about. You almost killed her" I yell angrily.

"I lied. I'm a liar. It's a cruel world. Get use to it. Now if we're done here, take her" he says and the people grab ky. 10k pulls away and I try to block her but they pulls us apart. "What's going on?" We hear. We all turn around and see the rest of the team pilling up and looking at us confused.

"This asshole lied. They took ky and almost killed her. We're trying to leave. They got there package. They can work with Murphy. He signed up for this on the way here but ky didn't ans I'm not letting her die" I say and look back to Marshall. "What?" "Your not taking her!" "You got Murphy. You can deal" we hear all of them say. We fight for them to let go. They eventually let go and step back. "Fine. You and your team can go. And you can take ky with you. But just know that if Murphy blood doesn't help, you might be taking the only other chance we have of killing those things off. We have a signal going out in Texas. It makes all of the zombies go to it. Once this works, we are gonna kill them off. Start a new world. It's not gonna happen if Murphy blood doesn't work" he says. The doors open behind us and we look to him. "I think I'll take my chances." I state and pull 10k out the door. He was still holding ky. She was passed out in his arms. Still pale.

We hop in the truck and drive away from this hell hole. We stop at the first house we saw. The door was unlocked so we played ky in a bedroom. Doc, warren, and Charlie all go and try and find supplies from a hospital to help her. I sit on the couch and think. It's all my fault. I remember everything again. Flashbacks to that day. I don't know why but I can't get it out of my head. It's getting worse. I'm starting to think about it all the time. And now I have this to worry about. Not ky. I know she will be fine. She is the strongest person I've ever met. The thing that's my fault is Marshall. What is Murphys blood doesn't work and I took the only thing that could have saved the world. That's not what ky would have wanted. She would have wanted to help people. She wouldn't care what they did as long as they helped people. But I don't care. She is my sister and I don't want anything to happen to her. We lost our parents. I'm not letting us lose eachother. Not again.
