Michael Jackson was one of the best singers of the 20th century. He became popular mostly because he had been famous since he was a kid. He also sold the best-selling album in history: Thriller, which sold over 100 million copies. He loved to dance sing, and entertain. When he did a concert, he would always have the fans on their feet. Throughout his career, he acted like nothing was wrong, but in his heart, he felt like he has done nothing to make the world a better place, which was something he wanted to achieve in his life. When he was a kid, he used to say that when he sung a song, he really meant it. He said he doesn't sing it if he doesn't mean it. All he had done was sing and write songs, but never really any songs about making the world a better place.
One night, MJ was driving around. He saw a little boy and girl walking on the sidewalk. They looked like they were lost, so MJ asked, "Hey, kids. Shouldn't you guys be home sleeping right now?"
"We don't have a home, mister. We are just walking around trying to find a place to sleep." The girl said.
"Oh." MJ said depressed. The kids continued walking and then MJ said, "Wait!" The kids turned around.
"Would you guys like to stay over at my place?" MJ asked.
"Mister, we don't know you! My mommy told me to not get in a car with a stranger." The boy said.
"Come one. Let's get away from this freak!" The girl said and the kids ran off.
MJ looked devastated. He sighed and went back on driving. When he got back to the hotel he was staying in he put his pajamas on and went to bed. He cried himself to sleep just knowing that those kids didn't have anywhere to sleep.
After that night, MJ finally said, "That's the last straw! I'm tired of feeling like I'm selfish. I'm going to make the world a better place. I'm starting with the man in the mirror."
After that, he gave $350 million to 40 different charities and became one of the biggest humanitarians in history.
