Comforting Hugs

    Rain pounded down against fields of grass as lightening cracked across the sky, which was joined by deep, loud, thunder that vibrated everything around the dark colored clouds.Cierra sighed as she placed her forehead against the window, staring fearfully at the storm, which had taken over the naturally bright blue sky. She didn't know why she was still scared of storms. She was 22 years old now, but that still didn't stop her mind of thinking about bad things that could hurt her or her family due to storms. Meanwhile Cierra's siblings we're watching her worriedly from the other side of the living room. Cierra practically jumped off the couch when she felt a hand gently touch her shoulder. She spun around quickly, only to see Bethany looking at her with concerned eyes. " Hey, why don't you come join us? Jordan and Isaac are at the store getting some soda and candy,then we're gonna watch a movie to pass the time."Bethany told her. Cierra was about to reply but then she got confused, and asked a question." But the powers out. How can we watch a movie?" Bethany smiled then pointed to the black laptop sitting on the coffee table. " We're gonna watch it on Isaac's laptop. It's fully charged so it will stay on throughout the whole movie.About 20 minutes later, all four sibling we're on the couch with a cup full of soda in one hand, and a few gummy bears in the other. All of them had been enjoying to movie - that is, until a loud crack of thunder rumbled through the house. Cierra yelped, and soon felt a few tears slide down her face, making her extremely embarrassed. "Sorry" she whispered in shame, while hiding under the soft, fuzzy, blue blanket that Jordan had gotten from his room. " It's okay, Cierra." Jordan assured her, as Bethany and Isaac rubbed her back comfortingly. " No it's not!" She exclaimed. "I'm a 22 year old acting like a 5 year old!" "So what , no one can act super brave when they're scared, not even me, Jordan, or Bethany can do that. So don't be ashamed." Isaac told her softly.
"Okay, thanks guys." Cierra said while softly sniffling. "No problem." All three of her siblings said at once. They all laughed it off, and soon  all hugged Cierra tightly. She looked at them with extreme joy and relief. They soon got back to the movie still hugging, and Cierra finally wasn't afraid if the storm anymore.
