Yuro awoke to find his bed empty. His sister obviously hadn't bothered to wake him, and had vanished off into the house.
He sighed. He didn't expect her to like him at first glance, but he didn't expect her to ditch him on his first day. Especially after giving him that warning...
He sat up, and was shocked out of his skin when the door crashed open and Ayato burst into the room.
'Get up ugly, my brothers would like to see you downstairs,' he said, making sure Yuro could hear the hatred for him in his voice.
Yuro flinched again as Ayato spun round and left the room, not making a single sound as he walked down the corridor. He was already freaked out, but this red-head's attitude towards him was really starting to scare him, so it was a while before he decided to follow him down the hall.
When he finally found them, they were all gathered in the spacious living room. He could tell so much about them from his first glance; like how far away they were from each other showed that they didn't get along, and how they were supposedly brothers from what Ayato had said however they didn't look anything alike.
He stared in wonder at these tall figures, snapping back into reality as the tall dark haired male adjusted his glasses and addressed him.
'Now that we are all here, we wanted to let you know our decision,' he said slowly, as if he thought Yuro was stupid.
'You can stay.' Yuro started to smile.
'However, you must understand this. You are our prey. Therefore, what we say goes, and there's no way that you could refuse us. In fact, resisting us would only make you be in more pain than is necessary.'
Yuro took a step back, seeing Yui grimace at him from the corner of us eye.
'W-what do you mean...?' he stammered. 'Prey? I don't understand-'
'Don't you get it yet, ugly?' Ayato sneered, leaving his perch from the arm of the sofa, 'We're vampires. And your blood belongs to us now.'
Yuro's face turned completely white as he continued to back away, almost falling over as he hit the wall behind him.
'No...no this can't be...' he whispered. 'Father would never...'
He looked at Yui, as if to ask her for the truth, but she only turned her head away in dismay.
Yuro shook his head frantically, growing more and more restless as the vampires approached him.
'Sorry Reiji, but you'll have to excuse me. I cannot resist any longer,' Laito said happily, getting close enough to Yuro to be able to yank his wrist to one side, and plunge his fangs deep into his flesh, piercing his veins.
'Ack!' Yuro gasped, grabbing his left arm with his other arm, shrinking back into the wall.
His vision frayed with black at the edges, and the room started spinning as he hit the floor.
'Aw, what a pity,' he heard the vampire sing above him, 'We'll have to continue this at another time~'
The room continued to spin as he closed his eyes...
'Aw, bitch-chan's onii-san is such a lightweight, nee?' Laito sighed, gazing absentmindedly at the small ash-blonde haired boy's crumpled figure, a pool of blood circling his outstretched wrist.
Yui bit her lip. She had wanted to say something to Laito, to stop him from tormenting the only ally she had in this place, but she was too late. She really was a coward, she thought, I couldn't even speak out to protect my brother.
