••Addilyn's party outfit••
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tonight was my family's annual New Years Eve party and to say I was excited would be an understatement.
I looked in the mirror and smiled when I saw my reflection. I was wearing a dark gray sweater and a silver, sparkly skirt. I had on some black tights under the skirt since it was a little chilly outside. I tucked the front of the sweater into my skirt to make the look a little bit more flattering. I had curled my hair into soft curls and applied some makeup. I put on my black pumps and walked downstairs.
I walked into the kitchen to find my mom to see if she needed help with anything.
"Sure honey. Can you grab the cooler from outside in the garage and bring it in here?"
"Sure." I walked out to the garage and tried to pick up the cooler. Holy shit it's heavy.
Suddenly a muscular arm popped out in front of my face. I look up to see Jax smiling at me.
"Let me get that."
He picked the cooler up like it was nothing and started walking back to the house.
"I could've gotten that you know." I said catching up to him.
"By the time you got it inside the ball in Times Square would've already dropped." He said teasingly.
I bumped my shoulder against his and laughed.
"Wait." I stopped him before we got into anyone's line of sight. He sat the cooler down and looked at me.
I cupped his neck and brought his lips down to mine. He immediately responded and wrapped his arms around my waist.
I pulled away and sighed. "I hate having to hide like this."
He put his finger under my chin and tilted it up. "I'm sorry."
Seriously? I'm sorry? That's all he has to say?
I pulled my chin out of his grasp and started walking away. "I have to go. I'll talk to you later."
"Addilyn wait. What did I do?"
I turned around to face him. "All I want is for us to be together. Publicly. I don't understand why your so against it."
He ran a hand through his hair and sighed. "You know why. It's to complicated."
Now I was pissed. "You know what, why don't you stay away from me and I'll stay away from you. Maybe that will uncomplicate things for you."
And with that I walked away.
~~A Couple Hours Later~~
Everyone started counting down when the ball was about to drop. People were with their boyfriends or girlfriends ready for their New Years kiss and I was outside alone waiting to watch the firecrackers.
10. 9. 8. 7. 6.
Here we go.
5. 4. 3. 2. 1.
Suddenly I was spun around and before I had time to react someone's lips were on mine.
I had no idea who this person was until they started kissing me.
Jax.
I tangled my hands in his hair and his hands clenched my waist. He licked my bottom lip and I gladly gave him entrance. After a few more moments we both ran out of breath and pulled away.
"Why did you do that?"
"I have always wanted to be your New Years kiss." He said smiling down at me.
At that point all my anger was gone and all I wanted to do was be in his arms.
"Why don't we call it a night and go upstairs to my room? We can cuddle and watch movies?" I said with a smile.
"Now that sounds like a great idea."
