Dear Kate,

I saw you for the first time in school today. Your a senior just like I am. At lunch you were sitting at my table so I had no other choice then sit next to you. Well I wouldnt really call it next to because I was at one end and you were on the other but we were on the same bench so I guess I sat close by. You looked up from your book when you saw me and smiled but I could tell you were still not happy. I smiled back with sadness in my eyes from seeing you still hurting. I noticed you had no food while I had my brown paper bag full. My aunt also packed so much food even after I told her I never eat it all, so I took my apple and slowly slid it in front of you. You looked at me with such guilt I wanted to hug you just for you to know it not your fault. When you reached for the apple I was so happy you were gonna eat but you shook your head and gave it back to me. When you put it back in my hand your sleeve exposed you wrist that was covered in scars and wounds. You saw me staring so you quickly pulled down you sleeve and walked out of the lunch room. I wanted to run after you and ask why you did that to yourself. Kate I can see you fading away and it terrifies me because if you go I wont have anything left to live for.

Sincerely, a very scared X
