~~Jerome POV~~
"Gimme the cake!" Mitch yelled grabbing for the plate in my hands. "No!" "Why!?" "Because!It's not finished!" "Just a little bite?" I shook my head and looked over at him. He pouted, "You don't want to make me sad now do you?Can I at least help decorate? Pleeeaassee??" he sat on his knees to look up at me and made puppy eyes. I smiled and simply said,"No."
He looked puzzled for a second and stood up. Then grabbing the plate from my hands, ran out the door. "H-hey! That's not finished!" I laughed and chased him. We ran around the yard for a while, I almost forgot why I was chasing him. It honestly seemed pointless but the fact that the cake suprisingly didn't burn, I didn't want to risk another. Mitch jumped over a large puddle. I didn't see it at first and yelled as I started falling forward. I flailed my arms around to try and keep my balance, but landed facedown in the water anyways.
I rolled onto my back.Mitch was laughing. "That's not fair!" I yelled, crossing my arms. He chuckled, "What isn't?" "You know I couldn't see that puddle." "Eh..not really. Just luck I guess." he smiled and stretched his free hand out. I gladly took it and shook myself off. "Can I have that back now?" I said pointing to the cake. He stared at it for a while, then back at me.
"Why?" he pulled the plate back as I reached for it. "What do you mean 'why'? I told you. I'm not done." "Then let me help." "I got it. Thanks." I tried grabbing for the plate again. "Well, either I help or this cake's going for a little swim." I crossed my arms, "You wouldn't dare." "Oh really?" he smirked and started teasing me by acting as if the plate was going to fall, then catching it. "OK Fine! You can help! Just, give it to me."
"Nah, I'll hold onto it. I'm not sure I can trust you." I gasped, acting like I was offended, "Me?" "Yes, you." "Psshh..WHATEVER!!" I whipped my head around as if I had long hair.(a/n I whip mah hair back and forth!I whip mah hair back and forth!!...no? ok :x) We both laughed and started walking inside.
"Put it down first." I said while shutting the door. "What?" "Put the cake down. I need to go take a shower because someone didn't warn me about that little puddle." I said with a smirk. "Ugh.Fiiine." I watched him set it down on the table and walk over to the couch. "There better be a cake when I get back." "And if there isn't?" he looked at me with a straight face.
I couldn't think of anything to say so I just ran upstairs. "IT JUST BETTER BE THERE!!" I yelled before shutting the bathroom door.
-Timeskip WHOOOO!!-
"Now can I have some!?" Mitch,leaning over my shoulder, yelled in my ear. "You don't need to yell!" I shouted back and laughed a bit. "And you'll have to wait a while. Go sit out back, I'll meet you out there in a few." "Why are we going outside?" "It's a nice day. Why not have lunch outside?" I smiled. "Um, ok." he shrugged and kissed my cheek before walking to the door. "Alright." I muttered to myself. "Let's see, got the food...the cake..." I checked my pocket. "Crap.."
I ran upstairs and grabbed the little box from the pocket of one of my other jackets. "There we go." I ran back to the kitchen. "Jerome!!Hurry up!" Mitch yelled from outside. "Alright!Alright! I'm coming!" I took everything and made my way outside.
"Finally!I'm starving!!" he walked up to me and helped me set the table. "Mitch, it's only been five minutes." I sat down. "Eh." He smiled and started eating. We sat outside for about an hour or two, eating, some small talk here and there. "Now can we have dessert?" Mitch asked looking up at the clouds. "Sure,but can you bring the extra plates?" "On it." he stood up and quickly ran inside.
Ok,nows your chance. I took out the small box from my pocket and opened it. I stared at the small ring inside and smiled. (You should've seen that coming) "Let's hope this works." "Here I come!!" Mitch yelled. I heard his footsteps become louder. I quickly stuffed the ring into the slice of cake i had prepared for him and acted natural. "It's cake tiiime!!" he yelled handing me the plates. "Heh,yes it is." I put his slice on one of the played and handed it to him. "Here you go."
"Why thank you sir." he chuckled and took a bite. I waited patiently. Please work... His happy expression turned into a confused one.
OH GOD!!I'M DONE!1MINUTE LEFT BEFORE INTERNET GOES OFF!EXCUSE THE MISTAKES ALRIGHT!?BYYEEE!!!
(a/n lol no.I left everything the way it was when i went to sleep because this STUPID INTERNET turned off the second i was gonna upload..sorry it's short..ish..maybe? i can't tell how long it is so..yea)
