Just a heads up, the first chapters of the story will be a bit short. They'll get longer as the story progresses. And I'd love to hear any feedback and criticisms you guys may have! I hope you enjoy the story, and be patient as the first few chapters are just to introduce you to Brittany and her relationship with Jesse.

"Dad I'm heading out." I yelled out to him from the bathroom.
"Seriously? Why don't you stay in one night?" Ugh now I feel bad.
"Dad it's Friday night, one of the only nights of the week I can have fun, I'll be home later." I say while walking into the living room.My dad and I live together, just the two of us. We live in a crappy apartment building, you could hardly call it an apartment building. It's more of a motel. My parents were pretty young when they had me, my dad was 20 and my mom was 18. She bailed on us when I was 14 so three years ago now. It was the worst time of my life, seeing my dad get heartbroken like that, my own mother leaving me without so much as a call. My dad is a construction worker but he's had about 5 months off work as he broke his shoulder, as of now we're living on a benefit. So we're not exactly rolling in it, hence crappy apartment building.
"Yea but remember when we used to have family nights on Fridays nights, we'd watch old Disney movies and eat chocolate and stuff." It made me sad, obviously he was lonely.
"Dad, Jesse and I are going out."
"I'm not too sure about that Jesse."
"Why not, he always brings me home on time and he's nothing but sweet to you, and to me." I say seriously wondering what is not to like.
"Ever since you started seeing him you've given up on everything you love. When was the last time you picked up that camera of yours?" He asked me picking it up and looking at it.
"I don't have time for that kind of stuff anymore, I've got cheer practice on almost everyday after school now. And homework. Lots and lots of homework." I say snatching it off of him putting it back down. "Besides, I love him."
"Love? Ha. You don't know what love is sweetie." Just because it didn't work out with you, doesn't mean it won't work out with me. I wanted to say it but I knew it would heart him. "And you used to make fun of those cheerleaders, you couldn't even do a forward roll until you were 13. What happened to that girl?"
"She realized that she should get some friends, and she couldn't do that looking behind a lens all day." Yea I had changed, but I'm happier now. I have a great boyfriend, a great best friend, I'm a cheerleader, I do well in school, everything is good.
"That girl needs to realize that the right people are gonna come into her life if she is her true self."
"Maybe this is my true self dad." I say walking out the door.
"No it's not." I hear him yell.Walking outside I immediately saw Jesse's car. I opened the door and sat down. He grabbed me straight away pulling me in for a passionate kiss.
"Hi." I say pulling back slightly.
"Hey." He said before kissing me again quickly.
"Where are we going?" I asked sitting back on my seat properly.
"Well I gotta pick up my phone charger from work, so I thought while we're at the mall we might as well see a movie or something." He said focused on the road. I was just staring at him now, he's so good looking and he's so sweet to me. I don't know what I did to deserve him. He looked over at me and I looked away. I saw him smile.
"What?" He said slightly laughing.
"Nothing."
"I saw you staring at me."
"I wasn't staring."He pulled into the car park of the mall. We parked but Jesse didn't get out, he just looked over at me.
"Now you're the one that's staring." I laughed.
"So you were staring huh?" He teased.
"Ok so maybe there was a long gaze in your direction earlier." He lent in, he kissed me. It was a sweet yet passionate kiss. Still with his hand on my cheek he said, "I love you."
"I love you too." I smiled. Yea, we had said it to each other before, but there was something different in the way he said it this time. Jesse was about to get out of the car.
"I'm ready." I said looking him in the eye. A look of confusion spread across his face.
"Ready for whaaa.." Then he figured it out. "Oh, oh oh umm, great. Are you sure? Uhh, I don't have anything right now." He said reaching over looking in the glove box.
"Not now silly." I was laughing.
"Oh..." He said scratching the back of his neck.
"Tomorrow night. Your place." His eyes lit up.
"Ok, ok yea. Tomorrow night's good." He said smiling.
"Good." I said. Then I got out of the car. He got out too and grabbed my hand. We walked into the mall and went to the backroom of his work at the Nike store. He grabbed the charger and we left, headed for the movies. It was a nice night, we saw Finding Dory. He drove me home. We were parked outside my complex. "So I'll pick you up at 7?" He asked.
"Yea that sounds good." Butterflies were going crazy in my stomach, tomorrow night was the night.
"Awesome, goodnight."
"Goodnight." He kissed me then I got out of the car and waved him goodbye. He drove off then I walked to my place."Dad I'm back." I yell.
"How was your niiiiight?" He asked me popping his head up from the couch.
"It was niiiiice." I said copying his tone.
"Cool. Umm do you wanna come over here for a sec, I'd like to talk to you." He said in a weird voice.
"Sure." I said hesitantly.
"So, um, you know Brittany,'' he said scratching the back of his neck, what all guys seem to do when they're nervous. "Your mom and I, had you very young. Your mom was only a year older than you. You see your mother and I didn't get the uhh proper teaching on safe sex practices, that's why you're here, not saying I don't want you here, you're the best thing that ever happened to me but uhh. You're getting to that age now where uh,"
"Dad."
"Mmm." He was looking me in the eye now.
"Stop." I said with a look of disgust.
"Oh thank god!" He said. "I mean it'd be easier if your mother were here to do it but obviously she's not and you know I really don't want you getting knocked up right now."
"Dad don't worry. Uhh I'm gonna go to bed now." I said getting up and giving him a kiss on the cheek. But I still had a scarred expression on my face. I really felt for my dad, he had to parent a teenage girl all by himself. He doesn't know what being a girl is like but he's done the best he can. Thank god my mother was around when I first got my period.I got ready for bed and as soon as I plunged on the mattress I began texting Caroline.

She knew immediately what I was talking about. I mean we'd been talking about for months. She's a very promiscuous gal so she's been telling me to get it done as soon as I got with Jesse. But I'm not like that, I wanna know and make sure someone loves me before I give it away. Especially the first time.Btw my dad just tried to give me the sex talk -B
Eww wtf, uncomfortable haha. Your dad is hilarious -C
