I hate him?

Car and I just finished getting changed into our cheer uniforms. It was thanks to her I even got in the cheer team, she is captain after all. Caroline and I have known each other since we were born. Our mothers were best friends. She was always in the popular crowd and I wasn't, but whenever our families would hang out we would always hang out and we got a long really well. One day when our moms met up for a coffee, both Caroline and I went and she decided she should give me a makeover and after that instant friendship. It wasn't an excessive makeover, I just wore dark frumpy clothes with hideous granny glasses that "hid my incredibly beautiful eyes" according to Caroline. She did my hair and from then on I felt good about myself. She encouraged me to join the cheer team and that's how Jesse and I met, on the football field during our two practices, she introduced us. If it wasn't for Caroline I wouldn't even know Jesse. As we were walking Caroline got a text. She looked down at her phone and smiled, but it was not a joyful smile, it was a sexy smile.

"Who's that?" I asked wiggling my eyebrows at her wondering who the boy was.

"No one." The smile immediately faded and she put her phone in her pocket very quickly.

"Come on, spill!" I say as we walk to the field.

"No... just... it's no one, just forget about it." She sounded anxious.

"Is everything ok?" I asked confused.

"Yea yea, come on let's go." She started running towards the other girls on the team. I ran as well. I said hi to all the girls on the team and we had our practice. The football team didn't have practice today so I had to wait for dad to pick me up instead of Jesse giving me a ride.

After practice I got my stuff from the lockers Caroline not far behind me.

"Are you gonna tell me who the guy is?" I asked.

"There is no guy and as I said before: forget about it." She said heading off. "Seeya tomorrow." She said in her normal happy tone.

"Bye." I expected it was some older married guy or a teacher, not too far out of her reach. I love Caroline but I have to say she is not the type to get in a committed relationship, nor a functional one.

As I walk out of the school building I text dad and I tell him I'm finished and to come and pick me up. I was still looking down as I walked right into someone, someone tall.

"Sorry." I said genuinely while looking up and realizing I'd just walked into Grayson Reed. I'm surprised to see him at school, especially after hours.

"Just, careful next time." He said, I couldn't tell if he was pissed off or if he was being a decent human being.

"Yea, ok." I said in a very confused tone. I continued walking but I turned back. I couldn't help but admire his beauty. Olive skin, hazel eyes, dark brown hair styled perfectly but not too much, even his voice could make anyone drool and he was tall. Very tall, my weakness. Then I remembered, Jesse. I can't be thinking of how smoking hot, drop dead gorgeous Grayson was while I'm dating an even more smoking hot, drop dead gorgeous guy. I mean, yea? Jesse is better looking than Grayson. Jesse is better looking than Grayson. Who am I kidding? Grayson is out of this world attractive but Jesse is my type. He's sweet and funny and loves me, actually shows up to school. Grayson is bad, bad bad bad news. And Jesse hates him, so I hate him. I hate his muscular, tattooed arms and impeccable style and his jawline that could slice bread and his forever brooding face and his plump, pink, beautifully kissable lips. Yeah, I hate him.

I continued walking away from him, but I couldn't control myself, just one last glance. Then everything attractive dissipated when those extremely kissable lips of his were being devoured by some big breasted bimbo. Ok, so that was judgmental. She may not be a bimbo. But, guys who play girls like that, hook up with them then throw them away like a piece of trash, huge turn off. There's a rumour going around that Grayson doesn't date high school girls at all because they get attached too easily. I have yet to see him with someone from school and this gal does not look like she's 17 or in her teens at all. I just roll my eyes and keep walking. Then there was dad.

"Hi dad." I say getting into his car.

"Hey hun, how was school?" He asked.

"Average, nothing out of the ordinary."

"Ugghh come on! Can I not go two seconds without seeing hormonal teens with their tongues down each other's throats?!" Talking about Blake and his lady friend. I didn't pay much attention to him, until he winds down my window, beeps the horn until they look at him and then he shouts "If you wanna have a tongue wrestle, the gym is that way." My eyes go wide but apparently it was funny, Blake laughed. I was mortified.
