Good Morning

  Alec turned over to face Magnus, blue orbs meeting yellow-green.
"Good morning." Magnus muttered.
Alec leaned up and planted a gentle kiss on Magnus' lips. Magnus was pleasantly surprised and knotted his fingers in Alec's hair.
"Good morning" Alec finally answered after the kiss broke, sitting up on Magnus.
Magnus set his hands on the shadowhunter's hips, holding gently as Alec came down for another soft kiss.
"I missed you..." Alec reminded him, his hands gently wandering the Warlock's bare chest.
"I missed you more" Magnus answered pulling him closer.
Alec smirked and caught his throat with his lips, attacking him with sensual kisses all the way down the warlock's tone body, pausing just above the waist of his pants. He kissed back up, knowing exactly what he had just done.
"Alexander... teasing is not nice." Magnus remarked as the shadowhunter readjusted himself on the warlock's lap.
"I thought about it." Alec finally said, referring to the night of their first date.
"And?"
"And... I want to be with you- I want us to be one and-" He was interrupted by the shrill sound of his phone.
"Ignore it?" Magnus muttered lazily, hoping Alec, for once, ignored his phone.
"Yea." He replied softly.
"As you were."
"I- realized that- if I have you- I... don't need..." His phone began ringing again and once more interrupted him. "I need to make sure it's not important..." he muttered snatching his phone up and looking almost as if he was glad for the distraction.
Magnus nodded, understanding. He could tell that Alec was happy to be interrupted from this conversation. He seemed uncomfortable trying to phrase it, trying to explain himself.
"Hello?"
"ALEC!?" It was Jace. "Alec!!! I need your help! It's REALLY important!"
"Okay-okay- where are you?" He answered hopping out of bed and to his jeans pulling them on.
Alec dressed and planted a quick last kiss on Magnus' lips.
"I have to go" he explained. "I'll call you as soon as this is worked out."
"What's wrong?"
"I don't know yet, Jace just seems extremely upset about something..."
Magnus watched him walk out the door, disappointment radiating from every inch of his body. He sat at the table with his coffee in hand, staring at the dark liquid.

"Jace!" Alec ran across the grass to his friend. "Hey! What's going on?" he continued, looking about for a sign of some sort that there was some demon or creature giving him trouble. All he could see was a very irritated Isabelle with her arms crossed over her chest, eyes narrowed at the ground behind Jace.
"These!" he replied turning around and pointing at a line of baby ducks who seemed to have claimed Jace as their mother.
"I swear..." Alec started "If this is all you were upset about..."
"DUCKS!" Jace answered flailing his arms. "these goddamn ducks can't be trusted!!!"
"Jace."
"He's an idiot" Isabelle muttered looking more than irritated.
"look! I can't get them to leave me alone!" He insisted moving away from them. "they're demons!"
"They're ducks!" Isabelle argued.
"Then get rid of them!"
Alec drowned out their arguing and clenched his fist. He strode forward, gathered the baby ducks and stormed off, arms full of little chirping chicks.

"Ducks?" Magnus asked incredulous. "He made all that stink over baby ducks?"
"Yes." Alec replied pacing his room. "Now I have a flock of baby ducks living in my room."
Magnus sat on his fainting couch and took a deep breath. "Can you- give them away?"
"Do you want them?"
"That's not what I meant."
There was a pause on the other end of the line.
"Alec?"
"Sorry. I just-"
"Why didn't you leave them?"
"Because Jace led them away from their parents..."
"Find their parents?"
"I tried that..."
"And you're not in the business of leaving them be are you?"
"No."
Magnus looked over at the Chairman knowing if Alec brought them here they'd get massacred.
"Don't Mundies have animal rescue sites?"
"Yeah- but I don't think they'll take ducks..."
"Of course they will."'
Another pause, and then. "Will you come with me?"
"To take them?"
"Yeah." It was really just an excuse to get to spend more time with Magnus.
"Sure." He seemed a bit excited that Alec wanted to be around him. Even for such little things. "We can go to lunch afterwards..."
