War of Hearts

One Week

  Alec sat on his bed, eyes narrowed at the wall, his phone to his ear.
"Can't we ever just go all the way without interruption?!"
"Now Alexander... you know the universe has odd ways of falling into place."
"I don't care- I just want to have you – I Want to be with you-..."
"Well that last one was our own fault it was a public area-"
"NO! What he should have done is walk out! If I walked in on him I'd have left as quietly as I could!"
Magnus was quiet on the other end of the line, quite amused. "Yes- well – Jace is another breed all to his own."
"Magnus- I'm going insane- I just want some alone time with you"
"Well- perhaps we could work something out. "
"No interruptions..."
"Of course not."
"Nothing stopping us- or making it awkward."
"Alright."
"And by Gabriel's Bow.... I just want you ."
Magnus smirked. "I tell you what- you tell me a day that works for you- I will clear my schedule and we will have a whole day to ourselves- just you and I."
"I want a week to ourselves."
"A whole week? And how would you justify that to your parents?"
"Camping trip?"
Magnus frowned slightly. "You'd have to get Jace and Isabelle to actually go camping."
"I think I could." He replied. "I'll talk to them."
"Or I could get them a hotel room." Magnus continued.
"That'd be easier to convince them..."

"Come on- we're going to be late!" Alec snapped at Jace and Isabelle as they shoved last minute things into bags.
"Alright-alright- just know- we're doing this for you." Jace replied meeting Alec's eyes and shoving a pillow into his arms.
"And it's appreciated, but it would be more appreciated if you wouldn't make me late."
"Calm down- Magnus probably expects you to be late." Isabelle replied crossing her arms. She wasn't going to tell him that Magnus had texted her begging her to keep him occupied for just a tad bit longer before she brought him there.

"Chairman stop it!" Magnus snapped trying to wrestle a rose petal from his claws. He had done this every time Magnus attempted to set one down. "That's it... I'm going to lock you out of this room in a moment." He muttered lifting the small cat up and setting him outside the bathroom door.
He ran a hand through his hair and turned on the Jacuzzi bath, making sure it was full of bubbles. If Alec wanted a romantic week- he was going to get one...

"Is-a-bell!" Alec snapped.
"I'm leaving the note!" She replied defensively.
"We are going to get so much shit for this" Jace replied. They had opted not to ask either parent and instead, just pack their things and leave a note- promising their return in one week.
"We really should ask." Isabelle tried to convince, knowing they would all get grounded upon return.
"It's a week of freedom" Alec shot her a pitiful look. "Please."
Isabelle and Jace exchanged a look and nodded. For Alec maybe- it was his only chance to have a week to be whoever he wanted to be... and they had a week at a 5 star hotel with spas, gyms, pools, and whatever they wanted- at least that's what Magnus said- room service was included in the package he selected for them.

Magnus lit the last candle looking about- the whole room was illuminated with them. Wax dripped down the sides of furniture creating an eerie, but very romantic environment, he knew it'd be irritating to clean... that is- it would be- if he didn't have magic. A trail of rose petals led to the bathroom door- and Chairman was given a large bag of catnip to persuade him to lay down and go to sleep.
"Finally." He muttered admiring his work, then he smelt it. The food in the oven was burning. He ran to the kitchen and pulled it out- he would have to summon something instead...

"Isabelle this is the longest way you possibly could have taken me."
"I'm sorry- I just wanted to spend some time with the two of you before we all went our separate ways.'
"Why? We see each other all the time!"
Jace sighed. "Just humor her... we're doing you a favor"
"Yes and Magnus is going to be livid when I'm over an hour late!"
"He'll understand."
Alec pulled his phone walking alongside them, pulling up his texts with Magnus.
"Hey- Sorry- Isabelle is being difficult- I might be late" he texted
A few seconds later Magnus replied. "Don't worry sweet cheeks; take your time- it will be all the sweeter when you get here."

Magnus set two champagne flutes on the table and filled them both up with chocolate strawberry champagne, then set a strawberry accent on the rim. On the table next to the professionally plated food were two glasses of red wine. He figured he might have to convince him to drink it- but it was a very sweet type.
He turned his attention back to the champagne and carried the flutes back to the Jacuzzi tub, setting them in the ice bucket next to the bottle of the same champagne so they would stay cold. Yes this was becoming stressful but it was looking very special.

Isabelle squeaked and looked down at her phone. "okay- so we're gonna get out of here- you can head to Magnus' bye!" she said suddenly gripping Jace's arm and heading in the opposite direction.
