Forever And A Day

I hope you guys missed me. I had a nice holiday and now I'm back, hopefully this story will come to an end soon. Say 2-4 more chapters left.

Zayn takes a deep breath as they part, his heart thumps in his chest voilently and when his eyes flicker towards the brown ones staring back at him, he feels dizzy. He has no idea what to say or to do, when he moves his hand it shivers. His mind is fogged and he feels electricity going through him when Liam strokes his cheek, he feels himself melting into Liam's hand, so he shuts his eyes and sighs in content.

"Zayn, I'm sorry" Liam softly whispers, as if he's afraid that his voice might ruin their moment. Zayn sighs again, and he pulls away from Liam.

"I forgive you, ofcourse I do; bu-t I need some time alone, please." Liam nods, he understands that he can't just sweep Zayn off his feet. So he gets up and gives Zayn the space he needs by leaving.

Zayn stands up and goes to the bathroom, he runs a hand through his hair and then his face as he examines it in the mirror. Tears pool in his eyes, because he has no idea what to do. Could this really be happening? Could Liam really love him just as much?

There's a knock on the already open door of the bathroom that startles Zayn, he wipes his face on instinct and looks over to see Peter and Harry staring back at him. Harry immediately comes over and wraps his arms around Zayn; who buries his face into Harry's shoulder.

"We saw Liam leaving, what happened?" Peter asks Zayn wants to sob out, but he manages to stay put in Harry's arms. When Peter doesn't get a reply he understands that Zayn doesn't want to talk about it.

"Zayn?" He calls never the less, Zayn and Harry pull away, the long haired lad puts a hand on Zayn's shoulder as comfort.

"We want you to know that we're here for you no matter what." Harry finishes for Peter. Zayn looks at the both of them, he's happy to have such good friends.

So he tells that about what happened with Liam before he left.

"What do I do?" Zayn asks desperately, Harry shakes his head.

"It's up to you Zayn, it's what you want" He says, Zayn looks over to Peter whose been quiet through out the whole talk. Harry and Zayn exchange a worried look.

"Why are you silent? Don't you agree with me?" Harry says, the eighteen year old gets up.

"No, I don't" Peter speaks seriously.

"Then what do you think Petey?" Zayn asks. Peter looks towards him.

"I think when you're given a second chance at love you should take it. I think you would be a fool to let Liam slip away after the amount of love and compassion you felt for him all these years. I see the way you look at him, and I saw the way he looks at you, even though he wasn't supposed to, but he did" Peter pauses for a moment, he sits down infront of Zayn and takes Zayn's hands into his own.

"Zayn, I know what it feels like to lose the one person you love the most in this world, and you have no idea how much I'd give just to have one more second with them. So please go after Liam, kiss him. Make love. Promise your self that this time it'll be different. This time, it'll be forever."

Theres a knock on Liam's door which wakes him up. He feels a little irritated, because it's late at night. People should be asleep. And not disturbing others. But he has to get up, or else it'll come off as rude. So he does make his way to the door and when he opens it, someone wraps their hands around his chest and pulls him close to hold him, the raven hair and Zayn's scent alert Liam's sences, and he holds on to Zayn until Zayn pulls away.

"I know that what happened two years ago broke me, and I hated that you made me laugh even worse when you made me cry. And I hated that you weren't around and that you didn't even call" Zayn's eyes are filled with tears, he doesn't stop them, because he knows he can't. Liam wants to say something, because it breaks his heart to see Zayn like this.

"But most of all, I hated that I didn't hate you,  not even a little bit, not even close, not even at all" Liam takes this moment to connect their lips together, they move in sync and the kiss tastes salty because both of them are crying, but they couldn't be bothered. This moment is too magical to notice the details.

"All I know is, that I love you and You love me" Zayn says when they part. Their foreheads are still touching and the moment is so sweet that it makes them giggle at eachother.

"I love you, forever little one" Zayn's heart flutters at the nickname he never forgot, he smiles and kisses Liam again.

"I love you too, forever and a day"
