Chapter 1: The Proposal

Jack Hwong was walking through the streets of Tokyo wondering what he should get his fiance Nikita Chen for their 8th anniversary. He wandered almost everywhere until he saw the perfect gift. A gift that women can't resist: an expensive ring.

Nikita Chen really didn't know what to give Jack. She knew he liked soccer but what else? That's it! Weapons. But she wondered if she gave him a sword would it bring back bad memories. Memories of the battle against the Dark Knight, a gangster ninja who had tried to take over the Hwong Dynasty but failed and when the two had caught him he was beheaded. She shivered at the memories. She then decided to travel to China and bring him back a sword from her grand father who was the most famous black smith in all of China.

Jack sat at their reserved dinner table alone. His fiance was still absent. She was suppose to be there 15 minutes ago but she still hadn't shown up. He was worried that she had skipped the date but then she came running into the restaurant with a long package strapped onto her back. She talked with the owner of the restaurant for a second and then she came to their table. "Sorry that I'm late but I was getting your anniversary gift which happened to be all the way from China," she said in a pant. He was thrilled but also saddened because her gift was only a block away from his house. She opened the package and brought out a sword. Usually in any other restaurant this would have caused total panic and chaos but not in Tokyo. Instead the owner just came by to Jack who was waving around the sword and said, "Nice sword but please stop waving it around." So Jack sat down sheathing his sword. "So what did you give me?" she asked. " Close your eyes," he commanded then when he tried to slide the ring out of his pocket it slipped out of his hand and fell to the floor. He searched for it for minutes. Finally when he had found it Nikita said, "I can't keep my eyes close any longer." When she opened her eyes she saw Jack on his knees with a ring in his hand. "Yes!!!" she said in excitement. For a while Jack was confused. He had dropped the engagement ring he was going to present her on the floor. So what was she yessing about? Then he look down and saw that he was on his knees holding up the ring."Oops," was all he could. She thought that he was proposing for her. Looks like he had to play along so he slipped the ring onto her finger and she kissed him for a long time on the lips. Everyone in the restaurant clapped their hands. He was soon to marry his closest friend slash girlfriend.
