It's kinda like a part two to gender roles read that first :-)

Growing up everyone was taught that dresses were for girls, skirts were for girls, makeup was for girls and the only guys that wore skirts were Scottish men in kilts.

In today's society, men wear skirts, dresses, makeup.

THIS DOES NOT MEAN THEY ARE GAY.

Many men who wear this outfit may be gay but some guys just feel more confident and comfortable in dresses and skirts.

In Sheffield for my 5sos concert I was at Pizza Hut with my friends because we got hungry (again. I'm always hungry) and we sat down and ate pizza. A guy walked in with a silver skirt on and a leather jacket with a mohawk. His legs looked so good and he rocked it.

My dad turns to me and says
"Why is he wearing a skirt. He shouldn't wear a skirt. He is a guy"

I then said

"Dad. I'm wearing a shirt. It is a guys shirt. Am I a guy. Have I suddenly grown a penis? No. He can wear a skirt."

He didn't speak after that.

2 weeks ago my sister was sitting at home in leggings and her legs wide open. She is 12

Dad walks in and sees her. Let's call my sister nugget.

"Nugget that's not a very ladylike position is it?"

I speak up

" dad she is 12. She is at home. She is comfortable and no one is here. She can sit how she wants."

Dad then says

"Idc she is a girl she needs to sit like one."

Me

"A SEATIG POSITION IS NOT "LADYLIKE" OR HOW A GIRL SHOULD SIT. IF A GUY SITS WITH HIS LEGS CROSSED IS HE A FEMALE. NO STOP FORCING GENDER ROLES IN THINGS"

He got angry and all that shit but still he needs to stop

Forcing gender roles on things will make our generation and the next so unaccepting and we don't, no, we can't let that happened.

Any who
