This isn't a story it's just my thoughts on how Arthur would react to Merlin's magic. We've seen how he did react, but that was just one of many scenarios. And in the end I think Arthur would be okay with Merlin being magic. I've read a lot of fics were Arthur abandons Merlin or hates him, because of the magic, but that's not how I see it. Even in the final episode Arthur tells Merlin to leave him in a, I can't deal with this right now, kind of way. He want's Merlin to go back to Camelot and stuff while Giaus stays and heals him. Yes, he is hurt and stuff, but he has a lot of emotions at the moment, probably has something to do with the fact he's a dead man walking at the time. And in his last few moments he thanks Merlin and accepts his friend for who he is. So if they were in a different situation, a life or death thing or maybe the whole of Camelot is at stake (again), and Merlin had to use magic I think Arthur would be cool with it. He would be weary, but this is his best friend. He trust Merlin with his life! Arthur would do anything for Merlin. And it's not like he always agreed with Uther's harsh ways. So yeah, I think Merlin should have told Arthur and it would have been fine. But then again I also think Merlin should have kissed Arthur at least once, but whatever.
